Although I've known Ginny my whole life, I got to see her professional excellence in real estate…read morewhen purchasing our home in Southborough last year. This deal would not have happened without her! Being engineers, of course my husband and I provided her a spreadsheet with our home search criteria and a color-coded map of towns by school ratings. Not only did she embrace that, she responded with spreadsheets showing comparable statistics for listings we liked. Who knew a 3-car attached garage warranted a different price range than a 2-car garage underneath?! We were moving from Waltham where we didn't even have a yard, forget a garage. Through her extensive network in the Southborough area, she found us a home that checked all of our boxes and we were able to jump on it when it came on the market. She anticipated challenges and put us in a position to make the process as smooth as possible. When issues arose, she offered creative solutions to benefit both sides. In the end, we were thrilled and the sellers seemed happy too. She was our buyer's agent, but I've also seen how she prepares for her own listings - she really goes above and beyond to ensure a successful presentation. I previously had no idea how much staging and attention to detail should be paid before a home goes on the market. She can identify what should be fixed or updated before listing and what should be deferred until a buyer is involved. Having resided in Southborough for many years, Ginny is an expert resource and always happy to share referrals for contractors and service providers with her clients. I've met many people in town this past year who bought a house with Ginny involved and they all have positive feedback! She is well respected and should be your first call/email if you are looking to buy or sell in Southborough or surrounding towns.

Paola met with us for about 2 hours at our house, two months before we were going to sell. She gave us a run down of what she thought should be done. This included changing a carpet, painting a small room a neutral color, chopping down a small bush, getting rid of various pieces of furniture, moving some art work. We decided to go with it as we liked Paola's style. She is very direct and businesslike and we felt that she knew what she was doing. We did what she said and then about 5 days before the first open house she came back and she dressed each room with vases, throws, paintings, decorations. She moved furniture from one room to another, making me wonder why I hadn't thought of doing that while we lived there! In the end, our 36 year old house looked like a new house. We were delighted. I am pleased to say that our house looked so good that it sold the day after the open house for the asking price. It was a nice house anyway, but Paola made it really shine.

We appreciated that Paola tried to use as much of our own furnishings and decor as possible - moving items from one room to another or simply "decluttering" them. She ended up providing some small decor, pillows, and wall hangings and along with all the changes she suggested, our house showed really well. Our house went under agreement the first Open House weekend. Paola was easy to communicate with even answering last minute decor questions. She was mindful of all the costs of selling the house and accepted her payment when we finally closed. We really appreciated her help!

I also had…read moreestimates from two other companies that were referred through Angie's List, one was slightly more expensive, the other was less, but didn't include the master bedroom. I trusted Marta's ideas on how to stage the rooms, including keeping the living room as a living room, not as a second home office as one of the other stagers recommended. She also gave me tips on curb appeal and staging the deck, porch and bathrooms myself. My realtor reported many compliments on the staging during open houses and showings, and some asked for the staging company's name/contact information. Rick came to my home for the initial appointment, then returned with Marta for a second appointment the week before staging day. On staging day, Rick, Marta and a crew arrived with 2 trucks and asked us to vacate the home for several hours. We returned to a fully furnished home, including artwork and accessories. (I did need to dust some) The only mishap was one piece of artwork fell off the wall a couple weeks later. I texted Rick that night (he seems to prefer texting versus phone calls) and a new piece of artwork arrived first thing the next morning! I really believe their staging was a great value and helped my home sell quicker.

The staff, particulary Rick, worked hard to help me out, and I appreciate the efforts they made to make sure my POD was packed correctly. I did not like how they spoke Spanish about the work, in my home and in my presence. The company did get the staging done on time and the house looks good, but they fell down hard with the followings: 1. The interior designer was brusque to the point of rude on several occasions 2. The designer made personal remarks about me to my household staff 3. The designer tried to get my household staff to do work that IS was contracted for 4. Some of the rooms that were listed on the contract for staging were not touched. Specifically the designer wanted to represent an area I use for kitchen storage as a mud room. I went to a lot of effort to remove all the kitchen related items and store them elsewhere, but in the end, no mud room was created. Some big heavy items they said they would move, were not moved and I had to move them myself 5. The company doubled billed my credit card and made no effort to correct this until Citibank called them on it

We even brought them in to support my mother after she downsized from the home she'd lived in for over 40 years. What they do goes far beyond organizing. Yes, the immediate relief and joy of a beautifully arranged space is real--but the real magic happens in the days that follow. The ease, the calm, the way routines begin to flow naturally--it's like someone has gently rearranged the backdrop of your life to support joy and connection in those "in-between" moments that really matter. I'm not sure MJ and her team will ever fully understand the long-term ripples of peace and happiness they've created for my family. Working with them has also been a personal transformation. I've learned so much about my own habits and organizing style. It's been a masterclass in recognizing the patterns that lead either to chaos or success--and learning how to shift toward success every time. Before working with An Organized Life, I saw a cognitive behavioral therapist who specialized in executive functioning challenges. While helpful, it was time-consuming and costly: 30 minutes each way for a session where we'd talk about what I could do--only for me to come home and try to implement it alone to varying degrees of success. Working with An Organized Life was a no-brainer. They bring deep expertise in executive functioning and work alongside you in real time, teaching hands-on strategies that stick. From top to bottom, room by room, MJ and team helped me build organizing systems that actually last. Working with An Organized Life is not just helpful--it's life-changing.
