I was referred to Dr. Gottlieb for heart palpitations. Dr. Gottlieb himself is friendly enough. I was quickly escorted into the room without a long wait. I saw the doctor 5-10 minutes, and he sent me on my way for testing.
I wore a heart monitor for 24 hrs and was told the results would be a few days. After a week, I called to see what they were and what to do next. The receptionist was rude and after coaxing, I was able to have her check my file, only telling me the results are in, but the doctor doesn't want to talk about them until I have an ECHO done. Another 3 weeks before getting an appointment for that. Went in. Office staff is friendly enough, and the wait wasn't long. Had my appointment. When leaving, I was told a couple days for the results. We were leaving town, so I asked if I could have a phone consultation with the doctor. I was told he doesn't usually do that, but she (the front desk) would have him call. No call. I ended up calling them, only to have a lady (receptionist? nurse?) tell me my ECHO is fine. What about a follow up with the dr?? Wasn't necessary, according to them. According to me, my heart was flip-flopping all day long. Of course they're quick to want their payment. A near $1500 bill to insurance. Thank goodness I only had to pay my $300 portion for my 10 minutes with Dr. Gottlieb. Maybe this is just the medical world all around. Still, I wouldn't recommend. read more
