This was a frightening diagnosis since I had no symptoms and in good general health for someone 72 years old. Dr. Goldman was kind and caring. He explained to me that receiving this kind of test from a home visit, with the equipment they used, was most likely meaningless. However, to be on the safe side he scheduled a cuff test to rule out the disease. I so appreciated his proactive approach. The results came back as he expected that showed no sign of Peripheral Artery Disease. He send the test results back to my primary care physician. I highly recommend Dr. Goldman!!

My visit with Dr. Duch was bizarre and upsetting. He was very rushed when he came in. He was…read moreliterally red-faced and seemed angry or agitated. It seemed like something else was going on - if not, he was assuming things about me and my appointment that I was not privy to. He rushed me at every turn as I tried to explain my symptoms. He kept interrupting me, scoffing and rolling his eyes - to the extent that I at one point stopped talking and pointed out the eye-rolling. It clearly did not land for him that I was pointing out his expressions of literal contempt. As I said, it was all bizarre; I wish I had just walked out - but the visit was so short, he probably wouldn't have noticed that, either. When I described my symptoms and used terms a previous doctor had used, he again started the scoffing and eye rolling and mumbled that I was "self diagnosing again." I was literally describing symptoms, not saying "I clearly have _____" -- because I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG. I understand that he did not agree with my previous MDs and that's all well and good, but you don't belittle a patient for reporting. That's the most basic principle of patient care. He said something along the lines of "Well we are not going to figure this out today," again sounding annoyed - I was not expecting anything definitive and was literally there to get an informed opinion about ongoing symptoms. He kept assuming things about me that I was neither asking nor assuming. He expressed overt contempt via his tone and body language throughout this very brief visit and made it clear he was in a hurry to be somewhere else. I literally glanced at my phone before and after the visit, and I was in and out within 10 minutes: in my field, that would not count as the "long discussion" he of course put in my visit note (I presume so he could up-charge the visit, which was almost $800). Maybe he's good with a scalpel and hammer - bedside manner and basic communication skills, he is not. I would question his diagnostic skills, given how he handled our discussion.

I initially visited Dr. Sheft 14 years ago with a pain in my ear. I had brought my medical files…read morewith me and for the first time, a physician took their time to review my entire file and discuss my history in detail. During his review of my files he noticed an MRI report from a 2 years earlier which showed a nodule on my thyroid. I informed him that my primary care physician is aware of it for the past 2 years and my primary care physician assured me it was nothing to be concerned about since it is most likely not cancerous. Dr. Sheft did not agree with my primary care physician's diagnosis and convinced me to have it checked. He scheduled me for an ultrasound and discovered that the nodule grew over 120% in 2 years. He ordered a biopsy and confirmed that it was a form of cancer called papillary carcinoma. I proceeded to have a surgery to have my thyroid completely removed and have been cancer free for 13 years now I will always be grateful to Dr. Sheft for his genuine care, thoroughness, thoughtfulness and professionalism. He took his time and got it right and I'm cured because of him. May god bless and protect him and his family.

I recently visited the doctor's office for a physical examination with the nurse practitioner…read more About a day later, I received a call from a nurse informing me that I needed to repeat my blood tests in two weeks due to a high white blood cell count. She inquired whether I had been feeling unwell recently. I shared that I had experienced some side effects like coughing, vomiting, and spitting. I initially attributed to my medication and mentioned that the nurse practitioner had adjusted my prescription that very day. I may have been unwell. The nurse kindly offered to arrange a callback from the nurse practitioner, and I happily accepted. The nurse practitioner called me back, introducing herself with a "Hi, this is Nurse Practitioner Yvonne." I responded with a friendly greeting, asking how she was doing. "Fine," she replied, "but my nurse mentioned you were upset about your results. Let me explain she said." She then delved into the reasons behind my two-week wait to redo my labs. After what felt like an eternity of about five minutes, I finally had the opportunity to speak. I clarified, "I was never upset about the results; my concern is the delay. I work closely with many people and want to take precautions to prevent anyone else from getting sick." Her tone shifted, and she remarked sharply, "I checked your results, and you're fine. What kind of exams do you think should be done?" I suggested tests for common issues like flu or COVID, or even a virus panel--after all, I'm not a doctor. I then asked whether it would be possible to consult another physician. She firmly replied, "We don't do that here. Why do you need another doctor?" I expressed my worries about the unusual side effects I was experiencing, which didn't seem normal to me. In that moment, she retorted, "You can do what you want; I'm not continuing this conversation," and abruptly hung up. Moments later, she called back, asking if I wanted to review the rest of my physical results. At that point, my disappointment poured out. I conveyed how much I had admired her and believed I was getting genuine support for my treatment. "I've decided to seek another doctor," I told her, feeling the weight of my decision. With that, she hung up again. I still think to myself why wasn't I asked how I was feeling, or to come back in to run tests. Its so weird no one called me back to see what happiened and I get a letter saying not to go back there. Stay away from the nurse practitioner; see a doctor if you go here! She was very weird talking about how she is making everyone do a tetanus shot hmmmmm.

At both locations, be prepared to wait a long time without explanation or apology (unless you ask repeatedly) and listen to front staff discussing confidential matters. Despite these misgivings, I went for a follow-up appointment - which didn't happen because there was an issue with my name in the software they use. All through the repeated text/email updates and the portal pre-registration, my name was correct. Why this glitch, god only knows. My choice was to wait until they could figure it out, or reschedule. While having listened to the front staff discuss the issue loudly and at length (without realizing they were talking about me, as if I was not sitting there RIGHT in front of them) without telling me why I still wasn't being seen, I decided I had no more patience.
