I reached out to several mobile mechanics through Yelp on Thursday evening, and Jim was the only one who responded initially. He was able to schedule us for Saturday afternoon, which was critical since we were supposed to head home that day. Another shop didn't have availability until Monday and the other high rated mobile mechanic was out of town. Because of storm-related commute issues earlier in the week, Jim ended up arriving around 4pm instead of noon. Totally understandable given the conditions. He worked outside in freezing weather and never complained once. Jim was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He was great with my wife, my son, and even let our dogs jump on him and give him kisses. Despite the tough conditions, he got the job done and got us safely back on the road with a solid new CV axle so we could make it home as planned. I'd hire Jim again in a heartbeat. Called to ask about changing oil when my car hit 3,000 miles and the owner said no need it's really…read moregood oil that comes with your new manufactured engine. So waited to 6,000 miles and changed - oil so black that the mechanic said it hadn't been changed for a long time. So black- he started to look at the manufactured motor and said it's the same motor as the vehicle came with. Doesn't look like they replaced motor. Checking with owner of this shop to see. Also the cost for a new replacement refurbished motor is over $9,000 and a 100k warranty, rebuilt same motor just fixing head gasket is just over $6,000 and only 25,000 mile warranty . My current refurbished replacement motor has rough idle, engine light is on and can't reset engine light.
