We talked and I sent him our receipts and photo of the Canadel sticker under the table. He sent Jee to our home and by yesterday it was fixed! Jee had to come back with another young man, so this was a two day adventure BTW. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! As new owners, I feared you'd tell me sorry, but no, you did not. This table was bought Nov. 2019, and the previous owners sent someone out May 2022, leaving replacement rails in case what he did didn't fix it. Now hopefully it has been rectified properly. Zero for customer Service - Terrible!…read more I dropped off goods for consignment and received a call a few days later that they didn't take any of my goods and that I should come and pick them up over the next few days. I wasn't aware that I only had 5 days to come pick up my things and when I came today to grab them I was told very rudely that they had donated all of my goods to goodwill. I told them I was not aware that they would send my stuff away as I could have taken a few things back to sell personally. The manager was very rude to me and told me that it was my fault that I didn't come for my things. I asked if she could have changed the process to tell me what day I had to pick it up by which would have been clearer or perhaps send me an email with a deadline date for when I should pick up my things by. Nope, she said she didn't need to change how she notifies customers and that these things rarely happened. So I asked if there's anything they'd be willing to do for me such as offer me a 20% coupon to retain my business or anything to help build good will on this unfortunate circumstance. No again. She responded by telling me she didn't feel she had to do anything for me and that the onus was on me. So not only did I lose all if my goods, I got no reassurance that this would not happen again should I choose to consign with then again, and they weren't willing to do anything for me to retain my patronage. Not even an apology! I would have appreciated a little sympathy and some attempt to create good will when you throw out someone's things that were of value to them. How do I know if they hadn't stole some of my stuff and sold it after the day they decided to send my things to "charity"? Cuz they technically could now that they claimed all my stuff got donated. I'll be sure to tell every girl that I know of my experience and how I was treated. I was hurt, and humiliated by the way the Manager spoke to me in such a condescending and belittling manner and will never come back. At the end of the day it's was not about my goods. It was how I was treated and humiliated and told that they didn't feel they had to do anything for me, nor change the way they notify people of when they ship your goods to charity. If you want to consign, I'd suggest you shop around the block in Kensington and find a more friendly place to do business with.

There was no help in terms of getting the custom table we ordered delivered. We arranged for it to be picked up and the response was that it was a two man job. We didn't feel it was our responsibility to load an item we had spent so much money on. The table was late but I had to initiate contact with this store every time regarding arrival. There's too many great stores in Calgary to tolerate poor service.

I ordered a brand new couch that was discontinued but I was told they could still order it new, my…read moremother ordered the exact same one and it took 8 weeks to be delivered. Mine was apparently ready immediately which was weird. When it arrived there were very obviously used felt pads with someone else's dirt on them and I was told by the delivery guys that this piece wasn't factory sealed it was shrink wrapped and sold to me as a new couch when it was used. Additionally it was all wonky and the arm rest made a clicking sound and the cushions didn't line up. I raised these concerns immediately with the delivery guys and was told to keep it as a loaner and talk to the store to find a solution. There are a lot of features I like about the couch that I couldn't find in another one so after numerous discussions with the owner Andy I agreed for them to repair it and if I was happy with it then they would give me a 10% discount as it is still obviously a used and damaged piece. Also in conversation here I learned that their supposed worry free warranty that I purchased doesn't cover any structural components it's just for stains. Again misleading and not what I was sold on. I have since decided that I don't want their warranty as it wasn't what I was told it was and this entire process of them fixing it has been less than desirable as I had to follow up multiple times to get anything done. It has now been 4 weeks since the final repair. I have spoke to at least 5 different people at this store about the refund on multiple occasions and had to explain this story 15 times yet I STILL have not received the refund I was promised. How many people do I have to speak to for this to be resolved when they have all called and told me that they will get it dealt with and follow up. Not one of them has followed up. I am a business owner myself and it is VERY simple to process a refund. There are no excuses at this point and I suppose I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company since they are clearly incapable of resolving an issue as they promised.

We made plans to connect with him in store on the weekend. He was went above and beyond for us measuring, explain the fabric, reviewing the warranty and anything else we asked. We bought a beautiful couch, it was delivered with white glove service by 2 very professional men who took care and attention to delivery and installation. Then after a day we both realized we had made a mistake and it was too big for our space, so I called SHIBU, he told us to come in and we spent over an hour with him and other FE staff to find the perfect sized couch to meet our needs. I would definitely recommend him and FE, excellent prices and CS!

Just recently, we purchased a kitchen set, and we are very happy with the quality of it compared to other furniture in most other stores. When we went in, we were taken around the store and shown a wide variety of quality sets at various price ranges, by both Glenn and E.J.. We eventually decided on a set that we know will last for many years. I should mention as well that on another occasion one of the legs on one of our dining room chairs from a set we purchased from Ambers probably 25 years ago, broke off at the base of the chair. E.J. repaired it for us (all good and sturdy) and did not charge us for the repair. Both my wife and I appreciated the excellent sales service by all involved and know that when we buy from Ambers we will have something that will look great for years to come (and is also Canadian made).

Other family members have also purchased furniture here and are very satisfied with their purchases. The furniture holds up very well and seems to last forever. The customer service I received has also been extraordinarily good as well. I had one instance where through my own fault, I caused some damage, and they were quite helpful to repair it as good as new. I think the current location has been there for at least 35 years which speaks well for the selection, service and value they have provided over time and give them a 5-Star rating.
