Following a home inspection, Hoan came out to provide estimates on repair costs. From the first phone call/txt he was easy to work with and provided timely availability. He met us first thing in the morning and was in constant communication with us throughout the arrival and providing estimates. He gave us options (low, medium, high end) for each repair as well as his honest recommendation. His estimates were fair and competitive. Unfortunately, that house purchase fell thru, but we are excited to work with Hoan in the future for a kitchen and bathroom remodel in our dream house. I reached out to Dang to deal with some water damage I had adjacent to my shower. He came out the next day, thoroughly explained what was causing the water damage, how to repair it, and quoted a very reasonable price. He re-sealed my shower, treated the site to make sure no mold would collect, and primed/painted everything in a few hours time. What I really appreciated was Dang taking the time to explain the couple options I had to repair it, showing me how the shower should have originally been installed vs how it was installed. He could have said he had to re-do the entire thing for over $1,000 without giving me a second, more affordable option, but he did offer the more affordable option that we pursued instead. Lastly, it was really clear Dang knew his stuff. He pointed out several other things around the house that builders shortcut that could become problems later on and to keep an eye out for. He said he would get back to us in a few days. Unfortunately we never heard from him again. Extremely disappointed in his customer service. Hoan is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. He painted multiple rooms on my first floor, he and his team did an excellent job. He really stands by his work, he even came by and touched up some scuffs I created for free. He also replaced my water tank, oil tank and boiler. He did a great job. It was a big and stressful job, I felt so much better knowing that Hoan was doing it. He is smart, honest and a great communicator. His prices are very fair and he is thorough and trustworthy. We had two thermostats and associated wiring replaced and are very happy with the work that was done. Hoan was very communicative and the work was completed quickly and cleanly. Other than the new thermostats and a couple of access panels in the basement (which we agreed upon), there's no trace that any work was done. It was a very neat job. Let me start by saying, there is an honest handy person who has personal integrity, attention to detail, and won't rip you off. Throw out all those other business cards. Dang the Builder is the only number you will ever need. Hoan came to our apartment to fix one thing for us in July. He has the most amazing attention to detail, we walked around, and he found a number of other things from light switches, to a broken toilet handle. He explained and showed me exactly what needed fixing. He went to Home Depot to get materials and fixed everything in 3 hours. And his prices are very reasonable, he won't take advantage, or try to sell you anything you don't need. Tonight I had some problem with another fixture. I called him at 4, and he was here by 7. After he fixed the light (wrong bulbs, on me), we literally walked around and he checked EVERYTHING he had fixed in July, to make sure everything was good. A power cord that he mounted, so that we couldn't see all those bad wires when you mount a tv on the wall were coming loose, and he fixed those. read more

Hoan was knowledgeable, reliable, extremely efficient, on time, and paid incredible attention to detail. The team completely made over my condo by painting it, glazing the bathroom tub, adding new bathroom appliances, building three closets, fixing a bathroom pipe (which I didn't even know was broken) and installing blinds- all under four days. Installed a Bluetooth fan for me that other contractors had botched (and ultimately malfunctioned), went above and beyond getting some holes they left filled and even fixed the wall plate. Unbelievable quality and attention to detail! Hoan and his crew did a fantastic job of completely transforming a condo that I recently purchased that was in need of a major overhaul - both structurally and cosmetically. Hoan fixed damaged walls, installed custom baseboards, repaired cracked ceilings, removed flooring in the kitchen and baths and installed new tile, fixed existing electrical problems, installed new lighting and receptacles throughout and painted all walls and doors! He was also able to coordinate all of my other deliveries and installations (cabinets, carpet, countertop, etc) while I was at work. Best of all he was able to complete all work withing his original 30 day estimate. Hoan is very efficient and I can't say enough about his quality craftmanship and attention to detail. I needed an over-the-range microwave installed (and the dead one removed) since the difficulty was more than my husband could do. The owner arrived on time and was friendly, knowledgable and attentive to detail. My husband was really impressed with his work and understanding of the complexity of the ventilation system above the microwave. We were able to get the old microwave taken away, a huge bonus! Tried to call this company for a quote on some kitchen work and they never called me back.Called back a second time a week later and told the answering service that this was my second call, and still never got a call back.
