She took her time to listen and understand exactly what I wanted, choosing a single brown shade that matched my natural color well. I opted for the extra conditioning treatment she offered to bring some hydration back to my hair and could see a positive difference right away. I showed Dani a photo of a hairstyle I wanted, and after the color and cut were complete, she efficiently worked her magic with the blow dryer and curling iron. She got my hair looking the best it has in a long while! You can't beat the pricing, naturally. The teaching staff stopped by periodically to check Dani's work and offer input. I felt very well taken care of during the entire visit. The place is huge, clean and welcoming, with a relaxing, harmonious background hum.

I messaged Inked on instagram after finding some time in my schedule and Emily, the owner, messaged me back that they had a last minute opening, and then called me to confirm the appointment. I have been doing a lot of research. Inked just seemed the most credible and their results pictures on instagram were enough proof for me. Price wise, they are comparable to other shops I've looked at. The shop is decorated very treat-myselfy and vibey. Melissa did everything right- offered me something to drink when I came in, consulted me about my brows and what I wanted and allowed me to ask questions, mapped them out, made sure I was good with the shape, told me what to expect, had a gentle hand and was careful about being sanitary (this is v important for me), explained aftercare, and helped me book my touch up appointment. If I'm so happy with my brows now I can only imagine how much I'll love them when they're all healed. Next up is probably going to be lip blushing and I will definitely get it done here.

Well... several people came in and had an appointment which I understand but communicate if the wait will be an extended period. They put my feet in the water and I waited for 1 hour with my feet soaking. This was ridiculous and the failure to communicate is not acceptable. They know how long or should know how long the wait will be, then say something. The only reason I stayed is I was traveling the next day but if they would have communicated to come back in 1 hour instead of not saying anything left a very poor customer service experience. I could have easily came back 1 hour later. Since my feet were soaking I felt trapped and should have left after 30 minutes. I spoke to the manager and she apologized but I felt nothing would have changed. I will not go back. Advice is to communicate if wait will be an extended period, most people expect communication and will be patient if you are setting proper expectation. I cannot recommend this establishment.

TLDR: 3 years of mixed results Sometimes I left Nicole's…read morechair with a nice cut. Most times it was just okay. I kept returning because the salon is close to home & prices are decent. A friend with an undercut & thick hair initially recommended the owner Nicole, but stopped seeing her after one too many botched fades. Ten months ago, instead of the fade I requested, Nicole buzzed a ring around my ears and cut the rest of the area to #3 length. It looked awful. After that, I gave up & settled for "comb length" on the sides because it looked okay. I know lowering expectations is a red flag, but Nicole was pretty good at layering my thick hair ...until my last visit. Nicole cut my hair dry then colored it. She never showed me the back. At home, I noticed it looked crooked but wasn't sure because of how she styled it. When I washed it a few days later, I cried. It was so crooked when wet and looked worse after flat ironing it. My husband said, "I'm no stylist, but that's crooked AF." I called the salon in tears & told the receptionist what my husband said (minus the AF). I texted the first photo attached to this review. Nichole received the photo, heard my husband's quote, and said we needed to "part ways" because I'd badmouthed her to the receptionist (her words). Including the $30 tip, I paid $175 for a root touch up, cut, and style. The color was ok. Nicole refunded $55 for the cut. No refund for the styling or 20% tip. It feels like I've been dumped by a mediocre boyfriend. For years, I made excuses for the underwhelming haircuts. "Maybe it's the coarse texture of my hair. Thick hair is difficult to cut. It'll look better when it grows out a bit. I must've chosen a bad style." I have 4 holiday parties to attend in the next 2 weeks and I just want to cry. I gave 2 stars because my cuts weren't all bad, just overall disappointing.
