I'm so into the low-maintenance, natural look I got from Lynette! I'm a bit addicted to eyeliner & a finished brow. Lynette gave me both, perfectly done everyday (and on beach days!) w/zero work on my part. They look incredibly natural, so I still have to put on eyeliner & eyebrow powder when I want to transition to a night/glam look, but that is exactly what I wanted & asked for. I love her work so much (and have hated other people's work so much :(, but I won't get into that here) that I travel over an hour to see her, and have more recently gotten light, natural lip liner from her, too. We bought a $200 gift certificate for our mother for a 2 for 1 permanent eyebrow treatment. After the first and second treatment the eyebrows were not dark enough and faded. When my mom called to tell her about her disappointment with eyebrows, Lynnette told her that she really needed to have a 3rd treatment and that it would make a big difference and she would be satisfied. So mom paid another $150 for another treatment. After the 3rd treatment her eyebrows had no improvement but unfortunately Lynette talked her into spending another $50 for a touch up, which made the 4th treatment. Well after $400 her eyebrows are still not dark enough and after just 6 months mostly faded. So after being lured into a 2 for 1 bargain it turned into a big disappointment. I just received my final application of upper and lower permanent eyeliner from Lynette at Flawless Permanent Cosmetics. I also had my eyebrows done in two treatments and finished that back in August. I'm not quite sure where this other rating came from or who they thought they may have seen, but I can tell you that Lynette is a very pleasant and professional person and is extremely talented at what she does. Each time I've gone to her shop, she was neatly dressed, her business was extremely clean and she was very helpful and again very pleasant. She did not discuss her situation outside of her business unless I asked what was going on in her world. And I've never seen any children in her shop the three times I was there, other than my second visit, when I brought my youngest daughter with me. Lynette immediately went to work on my permanent makeup application and told me what to expect, what to do afterwards and explained how the process worked. My entire visit, she sat in the room with me and was only focused on me. I'm extremely happy with my new permanent makeup and am very lucky that I found Lynette at Flawless Permanent Cosmetics. I do not care who you have reported me to because I have done everything above board with regard to you. And I think you need to look up the word "slander" before you start tossing it around because it means a FALSE statement. I have not made a solitary false statement about you. HOWEVER, YOU have made innumerable false statements about me just in your response to my review here in Yelp. You listed my full name in your Yelp response, Angela J. Keeney...a private citizen/customer of yours to which I would expect an owner of a PUBLIC BUSINESS would be required to protect a client's privacy in some fashion, but that is fine with me. Under Yelp's own privacy guidelines, YOU as a business are not permitted to reveal my full name. Again, I don't care because I have nothing to hide. In fact, while trying to figure out what on earth to do to fix the PERMANENT disaster you created on my FACE, I learned via public record that you have not even been trained on permanent lip tinting, nor did you complete your training for any permanent cosmetics application. Further, public record shows that you owe your trainers, So Natural Institute, $9,000 for which they had to file a civil suit against you for the maximum allowed by the courts of $4,000. According to public record, So Natural Institute won that judgement against you, but has yet to be paid that money by you. Lynette, stating what is on PUBLIC RECORD is NOT slander. I suppose you did "report" me to your "attorney" by forwarding her the emails to her that I sent you as well as your bizarre response to me. When I insisted on a refund, you very quickly told me you would no longer have any form of contact with me and that I should contact your "attorney". However, the only information you supplied regarding this "lawyer" was an email address to which you forwarded my emails to you and your response to my emails. I tried to contact her at that address jenna@jbelawfirm.com, and received notices back that my emails were undeliverable to that address because it doesn't exist. I then searched the entire country for a law firm that even resembles the name jbelawfirm and there was nothing close...it does not exist. I will happily supply ANYONE with copies of those emails. Lynette, in consulting with several seasoned professionals in the area to fix what you did to me, I learned that I am by far not the only one that has had to pay for their services to fix your messes. Readers, I simply suggest that you call around and ask them yourselves. I did try to contact the Better Business Bureau in attempt to have a mediator assist in solving this situation. They said this is something they cannot handle because it is a cosmetic procedure, and directed me to the Attorney General who also said they don't handle this type of thing. The AG gave me other numbers to try and no one seems to have reign over what you are doing. With no other course of action available to me, I finally called Groupon and LivingSocial where I purchased the vouchers for your services. After hearing my story and viewing my photos both companies promptly gave me a full refund. But Readers be warned the refund was in the form of Groupon Bucks and LivingSocial Deal Bucks which was better than nothing. Feel free to call me for further info on the rest of Lynette's response to my review as I'm running out of characters. I had by eyebrows done by Lynette and today was my second visit - you almost always will need more than one session, even if you have eyebrows. My first procedure was in October 2013. My natural brows are very thin and sparse and I previously had to fill them in each day. After my first visit, it was so nice to not have to spend so much time on my eyebrows each morning, and to not worry of going without makeup at all! Your skin does shed in certain places, and will become lighter after it heals, so that is why you will need more than one visit. Lynette was great - she is super amicable and pleasant to deal with, and never struggles to find conversation. She is clean and professional, and made sure I was satisfied before I left. She asks for input before, during and after, and allows you to take a look and specify if you would like her to make any changes before you leave. Calling all the girls love their eye brows like I do! Personal I have been getting eye brows permanent for over 15 years. I have been always getting them done in Shanghai Hua An Saloon. During the past 15 years, anytime I got a chance go back China the first thing will be get my eye brows done, they are super important to me. A truly terrible customer service experience! I've never written a negative review, but I have to share the incident I had with Lynette Trares in July 2014 at her salon, Flawless Permanent Cosmetics. I spent $400 + $120 tip for a total of $520 and I'm totally disappointed with the results and the unprofessionalism I experienced. I paid the tip in advance of the completion of services. All of her behavior occurred AFTER she had the tip. I hesitated in posting this, for fear of retaliation from Lynette based on her defensive response when I tried to resolve this with her through email. I can't see ANY eyeliner on my right eye, and the other is faintly noticeable. As far as eyebrows, Lynette spent 10 min on them (she denies this), and not surprisingly, absolutely no results can be seen. She did warn me a touch-up would probably be needed, but I would expect to see something for $200. As bad as these results were, that is not reason I am writing this review. Lynette's insulting and unprofessional behavior is what has driven me to share my story. Here are the highlights of our second appointment: * She was 30 min late for our appointment (same for the first appointment). In later email correspondence, she blames me for this, saying she didn't know I had arrived. I was waiting in the designated waiting area, and she was with another client the whole time I was waiting. * She was very defensive when I told her I was disappointed by the first round of eyeliner because I couldn't see any results. More than a couple times, she told me I was wrong and that it (the eyeliner) was there. * Her and her student/assistant ate their lunch in front of me, even though the appointment had already started late. * She complained to me about another client giving her a bad review. * She bad-mouthed her competitors repeatedly (same for the first appointment). * She got noticeably frustrated with me when I found the tattoo procedure painful. I was not numbing well and was flinching quite a bit when she started tattooing. She kept telling me that I was making it very difficult. I apologized profusely, but Lynette made me feel terrible and even more anxious. * She was rather messy with the ink, and kept dropping it on my face. I've had eyeliner done elsewhere...it was not nearly as messy. I put my hands up to my face one time, and she yelled at me telling me it was dangerous to have my hands by my face and that she wouldn't finish my liner if I did it again. I felt like I was being scolded, and my hands weren't even by my face when she was actually tattooing. She threatened to quit the procedure altogether. * She told me that the touch-up procedure was only supposed to take 45 min to an hour, and I was with her for almost two hours. She told me that this was my fault and that I had made her late for her next appointment. * She admitted that she did an uneven job...and then blamed it on me saying I made it too difficult. She also refused to give me any refund (not even the tip). She also admitted that she should probably start calling this procedure "lash enhancement" on her menu instead of "eyeliner" as the results may disappoint people when they expect eyeliner. * The appointment ended with her reminding me more than a couple times how difficult of a client I was and that if I ever come back, to make sure I DON'T COME BACK WHEN I WAS ON MY PERIOD (which I wasn't) !! I would strongly dissuade anyone from going to Lynette for any services. read more

First of all, I would have to check my records to see exactly when Lynette applied my permanent makeup but it was in 2014 sometime. I don't know why it has taken me so long to post this review but after reading some other complaints I decided I needed to let others know that I have the same problems. First of all, my upper eyeliner was initially done by Lynette and then I had 1 follow-up visit. I wasn't happy from the beginning. Even after my follow-up visit the color on one eyelid extended out past my lid more than the other lid. Now, the coloring at the end of each lid is the only place that you can see where permanent eyeliner had been applied. The rest of my lid on each eye has faded completely. I was told that I would need a touch-up in 3-4 years and it hasn't even been close to that yet. The worst though is the work she did on my full lip tint. From what she describes, I don't think my lips ended up as bad as Angela K.'s, but they are definitely messed up!!! One side of my bottom lip is colored lower than the other side and in the middle of my bottom lip it almost looks like a scar. It is definitely a spot where the coloring was applied too thick and it now looks like a reddish scar that hangs below the lip line. It is horrible workmanship and I don't know what recourse I have since it has been awhile, but I will definitely let Groupon know and will review Lynette on Angie's List as well as any other site that I can find. I would love to have my lips fixed by someone reliable but I cannot afford it so I will just have to live with it. Lynette, I don't know how you can look yourself in the mirror every day knowing that you have taken money from hardworking people who are using their hard earned money to make themselves look better and they end up looking so much worse at your hands. read more

I went to Flawless Permanent Cosmetics for permanent liner for under my eye. I had previously used another permanent cosmetic place in Brentwood for my upper eyeliner and I was not happy so I tried Flawless Permanent Cosmetics. Right away, Lynette, the owner, made me feel comfortable and explained everything she was going to do and she actually did the procedure, which doesn't happen at other places. It is not the most comfortable thing to have done and Lynette, stopped whenever I needed a break and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the process. She even "finished" my ends for my upper eye liner, because they were not done correctly. I am going back to Flawless and I would highly recommended them. read more

After struggling with Alopecia for most of my life, in my mid-twenties it eventually got to the point where I had lost all of the hair on my head, face and body.
