Still, I do understand all about wanting to look your best, doggies. So here's the place for you. Woof, woof. Absolutely Woof has many years experience in the Professional Dog Grooming sector, and provides expert dog care to its customers. They have a fully equipped salon and friendly staff. If you want to keep your dogs happy and healthy, and minimize vet bliss, get them along here for a spruce up. They'll cut away dead hair, clean eyes and ears and file nails. You never know, they might fit you in too. Then you really can resemble your pet. Delightful.
Perfect Paws

I always wash and groom her myself, because she's a low maintenance kind-of-a-girl, but obviously the same can't be said for some longer-haired breeds. My friend took her ridiculously woolly Old England Sheepdog Max here for its first professional cut and groom when it was barely out of puppyhood, and she was full of trepidation in case he hated being bathed, and developed a grooming phobia - which would be disastrous with such a furry breed. Perfect Paws groom any size and any breed, and cut and style them according to their owner's preference. Prices vary according to the dog, but are in line with other similar services in the local area. Fortunately, Max didn't seem to mind being groomed and was very bouncy afterwards, as if he was rather pleased with himself - I think he could see better without his overgrown fringe getting in the way...

I don't actually have a dog. But I know a lot of people that do. Some dogs are obviously more prone…read moreto grooming needs than others. People are like that too. So if you have a dog that has that fashion-conscious bent then many of my neighbours and dog-owning friends use and recommend this dog grooming service. They'll happily take dogs large and small, give them a good shampoo, or dry, or trim. Two poodles I know, who like to visit my garden, are very smart (in the looks department) after a visit to the groomers. I haven't smelt them close up but I expect an agreeable fragrance akin to summer meadows - or perhaps they get that from my garden.

This specialist aquarium shop is located in Leckwith on Sloper Road, and specialises in supplying…read moretanks, fish and plants for aquariums as well as pond supplies. They have marine, corals, tropical, fancy cold water and oddballs, with livestock imported every week from all over the world. If you're really interested in getting a serious aquarium, these people know far more about all the kit and care than the likes of pet superstores such as Pets At Home, which sell only a limited range of aquariums and marine life. City Aquatics is a one stop shop where you can get everything in one go, along with advice from experts - whether you're shopping for aquariums, marine products, lighting, plants, medications, water treatment, fish food, air pumps or whatever else! Keeping a tropical aquarium can be quite a balancing act, if you want to keep your water clear and your fish healthy, so it's worth talking to an expert if you're a first-timer.

This Cardiff branch was actually the first veterinary clinic in Wales to specialise in care for exotic pets, although they also treat other companion animals, of course, including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small furries. Back in the 1990s, the clinic also opened the first 24-hour emergency veterinary service in the UK, V.E.T.S. Worse than drunks for forgetting what anyone's just said. Three second memories, see. Perhaps I should have asked David Phillips (The man who puts the DP into DP Aquatics). I didn't though. I don't think he's got a three second memory. He's been selling tropical fish, fish tanks, plants, and a wide range of 'aquatic accessories' that include castles for fish tanks for over thirty years. He knows his stuff, go and stare at the fish and ask him something. Incidentally I used to have tropical fish when I was a kid.
