I say give it another 10 years and it'll be the Dandenong Hub (which is a shell of businesses adjacent to the plaza). Recently going back, this place just doesn't feel safe. It's still busy but I don't understand the need to be here. It's not convenient and there has been a really sad attempt to refurbish the area, making if brighter and adding more stores (which I think will soon close given the lack of foot traffic in some areas). Regardless, I choose to stay away from now on. If you're intent on a shopping trip, head to Fountain Gate or Knox instead. There is absolutely no reason to come here anymore.

Here you can fear for your life in one of the more aggressive shopping centre carparks, chow down on something deep fried for lunch with all the kids skipping school, and bum smokes of some guy tottering about with a bottle in hand. On the plus side, the police regularly patrol the food court, so it's quite safe. On the extra plus side, the shops are filled to the brim with spare change clothes. $2 singlet? I'll just overlook the likely dubious ethical practices that went into making it and enjoy the lack of expense.

Honestly, it doesn't feel like many people come through here anyway. While there are a few decent shops, they're far from plentiful. The place felt rather dull and a bit tacky, giving the impression that its primary purpose is just to let people cut through from one side of the building to the other. Considering you can just as easily walk around, I'd say this spot is probably best avoided.

Parkmore is not the worst shopping mall I've been in…read more.... I go there at least twice a week, as its convenient and close to work and i have never really warmed to the place. I mean, its clean enough and has a good assortment of shops, certainly enough to keep me out of trouble, but the parking is atrocious. Combine that with a demographic hell bent on road rage and you need a Valium before and after visiting. My advice is to pull in, drive as far away from the centre itself, park the car and walk (just don't assume the white stripes on the road which look eerily like a pedestrian crossing, are in fact, a pedestrian crossing - not in THIS neighbourhood man...)

Kmart stocks basically everything but groceries; clothes, toys, accessories, homeware, beauty- you name it. Now it's not the highest quality product ever, but I just furnished a whole kitchen and bathroom yesterday for $160. No doubt it'll last a few years and I'm totally fine with that. At this particular establishment, be prepared to show you proof of purchase before you leave. Whilst I can understand it, I think the layout of putting the check out in the middle of the store opposed to near the front door doesn't help at all.
