In virtually every suburb, you have a miniature "CBD" - busy, loads of shop, and architecturally beautiful. Acland Street in St Kilda. Bridge Road in Richmond. High Street in Northcote. But out of all the iconic busy streets that Melbourne has to offer, I do have to say that Chapel Street is high up the list for me. No matter what time of day or night it is, there will always be somewhere to eat, somewhere to party, and something to do. There's nothing better than a walk along Chapel Street with no real idea of where you're going but a faith that you'll stumble upon a place you end up really enjoying. Visiting Melbourne? Put this spot on your list for sure. Seriously - check out Chapel Street's very own website to see upcoming events as well as nightlife favourites. A must-go.

It has a cinema which always comes in handy when you have nothing to do. One of my favourite things about Victoria gardens is of course ikea, what would you do with out ikea oh yeah NOTHING!! The ikea in vic gardens is very big and it has a childcare program where you just say "take my kids while I shop at ikea" and then POOF kid free. Vic Gardens includes boost, pet shop, various 2 dollar shops, sushi, Coles, dimmocks, dick smith, bakers delight etc I believe that this shopping centre couldn't get any better

The major tenants are Woolworths and the recently opened David Jones, with lots of smaller specialty shops such as: Bakers Delight, Bed Bath & Table, kikki.k, Terry White Chemists, Feathers, The Athletes Foot, OPSM, to name a few. Plenty of underground car parking, though it can be tough to get a park at peak times. There is a hand car wash service if your car needs a shine while you shop. Lots of wide aisles and escalators make this a favorite for parents with pushers. There is free WiFi in the food court on the top level so you can add your Yelp reviews while having a coffee. And if the centre does not have what you want, the Glenferrie Road shopping strip is right outside.

There is lots of underground parking - the first hour is free. But it fills up fast, especially on market days (Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun). Have your car washed while you shop if you like. Woolworths are the major tenant, and both Aldi and the market are right next door if you prefer the alternative. Spotlight has all of your sewing and craft needs covered. Recreation lets you workout 24/7 - and if your workout is a bit too much - there is a medical practice and an Amcal Chemist. A number of smaller stores - such as a bakery, key cutter, lotto, and a number of cafes - round out the centre. Basically the same as you would find in any upper market suburb.

Underground parking is free for the first hour but then becomes quite expensive. There is on-street metered parking as well. The Clarendon Shopping Centre has a Coles, Terry White Chemist, Bakers' Delight, Sushi Top, Coffee Club, Tatts outlet, Flower Shop, Asian Massage and 2 other coffee outlets. There's plenty of parking underground with the first hour free, $6: 1-2 hrs, $9: 2-3 hrs and so forth. It's close to Clarendon Shopping and cafes. South Melbourne Central is also fairly close and you'll find a Safeway, gym, spotlight to name a few in there so the centre is very conveniently located with a broad range of shops and cafes in the near vicinity.

There is public seating in the middle of the centre so you can sit down, relax and enjoy a bite to eat mid shop. Upstairs there is a Medicare clinic, Vodaphone outlet and a few other local services. Pran Central is convenient for a variety of services weather it be lunch, coffee or a window shop.

I managed to get a pair of Converse One Stars and even got some free Converse socks to sweeten the deal. It's not only Converse in this Authentic Factory Outlet, you can also get a number of other cheap shoes and other street wear at discounted products such as Tommy Hilfiger. This part of Smith Street is great for the bargain hunter and this Authentic Factory Outlets is a must.
