And for new students, they always get a chance at the front and back. The student generally watches others to familiarize themselves with the new choreography and then can go in the front line. And after class when a child doesn't see their parent the teacher will walk tha child out unless they are old enough to go by themselves. Amazing experience here, competition was fun and everyone welcomed my daughter who was new. She made a lot of friends on her first year of competition. I would def recommend this company

We came early so that we could attend the class first, which was a bit hard to follow along. I wouldn't call myself naturally coordinated, and the instructor moved faster than some of us could catch up. Class was followed by social dancing. Everyone was very friendly and kind, and plenty of wonderful leads were very gracious with dancing with me. Would come here for more dancing if I lived close by.

The studio is very spacious, clean, and well maintained, with plenty of room for our students to dance comfortably without feeling crowded. The large mirrors are perfect for dance classes and make it easy for students to follow the choreography and improve their movements. The music system works very well and provides clear, strong sound throughout the studio, which is so important for our Bollywood classes. The air conditioning also keeps the space comfortable, especially during high-energy dance sessions. The overall setup is bright, welcoming, and professional, and our instructors and students always enjoy being here. Ngoc is incredibly kind, helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. She is always accommodating and makes sure everything runs smoothly for our classes. We are so happy to have found Knockout Studio. My daughter has been taking dance with Miss Nancy since she was 3 years old. She is now dancing in…read moreher eighth year at the studio. She takes six major styles-- ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary. My son has been taking classes here for five years (a bit on again off again). He is currently in a hip hop class. We have stayed with this studio for so long because of Miss Nancy. She has run this studio for 32 years. She knows all of her students by name. She teaches them to be good citizens and beautiful dancers inside and out. She creates a real community in her dance school where the older dancers are expected to look after the younger ones. The studio also sponsors a competitive dance team, the Doize Dream Team, which has won many state and national honors. Compared to other activities my children are involved in (soccer, gymnastics) Miss Nancy is extremely organized and communicative. When you register for classes in the fall, you will be given dates for the picture day and recital dates in June. I find this type of scheduling extremely invaluable. Nancy is also just an all-around great lady. One year, when I couldn't leave work early enough to take my daughter to dance, Miss Nancy picked her up from school for an entire year and took her to the studio. How's that for dedication? She has been taking gymnastics and dance classes for the last several months, and loves them! I've had the opportunity to watch her, during both the dance and gymnastics classes, and I'm glad I did! Our daughter loves Coach Natalie and Coach Courtney for gymnastics! Often times when she is at home, she will instruct me to do certain gymnastics moves, and pretend that she is either Coach Courtney or Coach Brittney lol. The instructors are incredibly patient with the kiddos, and it's really fun to see all of the activities that they have in store for the kids. The kids definitely have time to try out the moves on their own, and the instructors are able to correct their movements. I love that they push the kids just enough to challenge them, but not to go overboard. When I did watch her dance class, I know the instructor did not really want parents to be there, which is understandable, since parents can be very distracting to the kids. That said, my daughter did not really pay attention to me lol. There were lots of props that they got to use, which made it interesting and fun, and I'm sure the time passed by really quickly because of it. The dance class did not seem too strict/rigid, but they did introduce lots of different movements. I know that my three year old loved changing into her tap shoes and ballet shoes, even though I'm sure they're not totally needed lol. Compared to other places in the area, CSC has reasonable prices. I don't love the fact that they do not offer make up classes, but I suppose that because it's a little less expensive than other places. Other places have a glass partition so that parents can watch, but this place doesn't. It's not as up to date as other places, but what's most important to me is the teaching quality. I will say, though, for the number of times that my daughter does get sick, the classes end up being a little bit more expensive than I would like. I also love that they have the opportunity for the kids to participate in the dance recital. It gives them a chance to express confidence and the skills that they've learned so far.
