This is one of VERY few stone shops in Raleigh, all other seems to come and go however this one has been well established for while some time. Tucked next to a tanning salon it seems go out of place but inside there is an array of lovely stones that you examine. Their Jewelry is beautiful and they feature a lot of one of a kind pieces, including a goddess ring that my friend feverishly debated between that and an Opal ring. Books, tarot cards, incense and burners, CDs, crystals and semiprecious stones, malas, creams, oils, soaps, essential oils, and many other things. Their staff are super friendly and helpful people. Check out their programs too. They regularly have many interesting sessions on meditation, chanting, various natural healing. They also feature many local artisans. Absolutely horrible energy and environment here. Every time I've gone in the store I have felt judged and constantly watched. When asking simple questions, the staff make you feel belittled and unintelligent. The last time I was here, a conversation with the store owner turned downright cruel and nasty as she nearly yelled at me over simple questions about products. Coming in here with a lack of knowledge of the products they carry will not result in kind education, but rather rudeness, judgement, and humiliation. For a store that claims to promote spiritual healing and guidance, they sure know how to make customers feel horrible about themselves and as if their experiences and knowledge are worthless. I will not be returning and would encourage others not to give their money to this negative environment. I believe that these people care more about making a profit off of the needs of others rather than providing true help and guidance. I would also like to note that the store owner was not wearing a mask for several minutes during our conversation and no one said anything to other customers who were also not wearing masks. read more

After a HORRIBLE experience at another metaphysical store, I was blown away by the positive energy and delightful customer service here. Not only was I allowed to carry my 3 month old son while I shopped, I was also able to breastfeed him in a quiet corner without disruption or judgement. From the moment you walk in, there's a calming vibe. But I was shocked at how busy it was. I've been to several spiritual or metaphysical shops and I've never seen so much traffic. Not a bad thing! You could hear conversations of people ecstatic to be there, finding what they needed, and loving the store. I went in to buy some sage and walked out with a bag of stuff, haha. I suppose I never realized how pricey stones and crystals could be until I checked out. However, this store had everything I needed and more. I look forward to going back for their book selections next. Friendly environment, staff, and other customers along with quality products make this store worth every star! read more

The Dancing Moon has been my husband and I spiritual home since 1982 when they use to be in that sweet little old house on Johnson Street. We moved out of state in '97, but have been blessed to return. It is not an exaggeration that one of the top 10 reasons for our moving back was "the Moon". This shop is SO welcoming, even from the outside! I have a sense of calm when I walk through the doors and am greeted with the smiling workers! But the aura of everything else around them is so bright, I barely see them! I'm in awe every time I get a chance to get by there! Even asked to go as a birthday present! The immense collection of gemstones to crystals will have you standing there unable to move because everything is so exquisite! Each of the little nooks and crannies you will see something that you will love but unless you are a millionaire, you're stuck buying what you can afford, what you came for our what called to you that you knew right then you had to have. I love this shop! The best products, prices are not what I expected, they are great prices! And they truly have everything you need and the ladies that work there are so nice and helpful! The Dancing Moon was introduced to me a few years ago. I love this place because it is calm, peaceful, smells great due to the incense, has great books, stones, crystals, and candles. If you are new age or metaphysically aware then this is the place to go in Raleigh. The psychics in house everyday are a huge plus. I've had wonderful readings; some of my favorites are Cherie Lassiter, Bill Ryan, George Ward, Faith Parent, and Deborah Foulkes.
