I decided to visit ASAP. They have an online store too. I came to the store because I wasn't sure what to look for and I wanted to try on the slippers. Luca assisted me and was incredible. I told him exactly what I was looking for. He measured my feet and told me to always judge shoes while standing up. He grabbed a few different sizes for me so I could get a feel for what I liked. I appreciated how he explained that there were different widths based on letter. He was amazing. He held onto my slippers behind the counter so I could browse the store after. He kindly pointed out the different sections of the store too. When I was done exploring, the lady at the cash register was super kind. She helped me sign up for their rewards program. I'm so grateful I stopped by. I highly recommend coming here for all your dancewear needs, especially if you're looking for a great spring sale.

Well after the first time my daughter danced in her new shoes her left foot was bleeding and in a great deal of pain, so I made another appointment to get her a shoe which would work for her left foot. About a minute (no seriously...it was just a minute) after I made the appointment Rosemary herself called to talk to me about the problem. She assured me that she would figure something out and she did. She spent so much time with my daughter getting the exact right fit and really listening to my daughter every step of the way. I'm sorry to be carrying on so but I just am so grateful to Rosemary. If you need any ballet/dance supplies I think Ellman's Dance is worth the drive, all the staff I've worked with are great. Got to the store and were told we are not allowed in without a mask and they didn't have any masks available for us so we could shop. She stated we had to leave. I walked out feeling upset and mad as I asked her even if we are vaccinated and she said masks were still required. As I walked out I explained to her she just lost $400 sale as we were all there to get 1-2 pairs of Birkenstock's. The state of VA has lifted all mandates related to COVID. I guess they don't want our business... and no one was in the store only 1 store associate.

I understand that with the quality of leather that there will be minor scratches and visible bend marks. But the shoes they were trying to sell us were so worn that the leather was a completely different color. Yes, I know that the leather will eventually change color-but after you are the one to cause them to do so-not a brand new pair. I asked to see a different pair, same size and same color. The sales associate continued to argued with me about the leather. Finally she brought us another pair. And what do you know, the color was like the shoe that was on display. Okay, time to pay. We go up and the sales associate deliberately avoids us and ask someone else to ring us up?? There are plenty of other places to shop in Williamsburg, I wouldn't support this store.

I have always loved Scotland House whenever we visit Williamsburg. This morning, I was going to…read morepurchase the Classic Aran Crew Neck Fisherman Sweater, which was on sale for $127.46. Before putting the item into my cart, I clicked on the hyperlink for "Shipping" for their shipping policy and saw that items over $75 are shipped free (see screenshot). However, after adding the sweater to my cart, I then I realized that I was going to be charged $13.95 for shipping (see second screenshot). I honestly do not understand how a business can advertise free shipping within their shipping policy for orders over $75 and then charge $13.95 for an order that costs $127.46. Clearly this is an issue that needs to be addressed to avoid false advertising.
