Bad business!! I signed my 11yr old daughter up for hip hop classes that started this fall. The…read morefirst class I noticed my daughter was standing in the back of the class, she was attempting to learn dance moves but strangely the other girls knew them so well. I asked the ower Ginny why the girls were so good, thats when she told me all the girls started learning 2 rountines during the summer class. So they had about a 10 week head start. I wasn't made aware of that or I wouldn't have never signed my daughter up. Why would i want her to be behind. I was sent 2 videos for her to try and catch up and learn on her own but these videos were fast paced not step by step. Why does my daughter have to work harder and learn these moves on her own? Before signing up and taking my $, the ower should have told me this. She was not accomodating at all. No apology from her. Didn't offer any extra help. Said I would have to pay $30 for a private 30min lesson. She kept on saying that my daughter will catch up, that she will be fine but realistically she might not ever be able to catch up. Because by the 2nd class they added on a new move to the other moves she hasn't even learned yet. Dance should be fun and enjoyable. All the girls should be on the same page, not 1 student trying to play catch up by herself. It made her feel outta place. My daughter has been dancing for 6 yrs. It's unfortunate her school closed during covid so we had to search for another. I took her out after the 2nd class and the owner wasn't too happy when I told her. I said that maybe I will just sign her up next summer so they can learn the routines together. She had the nerve to say that my daughter would be really behind then and it seemed like she didn't want her there. Wowwww ok lady. Why would i ever put my daughter somewhere she isnt made to feel like she belongs. The registration fee and first month's payment was never refunded. Such an aweful experience. I'm happy to say I've found her a new dance home that was very welcoming even though she started a couple weeks late but they haven't started learning any routines yet so she right on time!

Mind you, my 3 year old daughter and I were the only ones there. Turns out that was the owner. She did not welcome my daughter to her first dance class, did not make me feel welcome and it took me almost 2 months going there for for weekly classes, to learn that she was the owner. She is not accompodating, helpful or care about what is best for the kids. For her recital, the owner was so rude, making us take the tights out of the packaging to hold up to a UV light. You see, if we bought the wrong brand of tights they would glow in the light. Are you kidding me! they were 4 year olds, who cares if they don't all have the same tights. You could not trust us from the packaging? This is not the united nations.

Heat wave in Philly 100 degrees I couldn't go. There are these ridiculous fans that are on the ceilings. So high up. You don't feel a thing. I'm a 55 year old type I diabetic. Yikes. I'd love to shoot a basketball for fun occasionally but that could never happen. The courts no matter what time are taken up by dudes who just play each other. The TVs on the machines are trash. Maybe five channels. Maybe. Static. No fans on machines. A workout hellscape. No one cleans the machines or uses towels but me it seems. I may go back to planet fitness Oh and the weight area. Men trying to intimidate me when I go in but screw them. Acting like I don't belong in there. Too bad dudes. I will go in anyway. They need to revamp. I was a member there in Bensalem in 08 and it was nice because it was new. Now it looks the same exact way with the same machines that are now 17 plus years old. Thanks to a great friend who took me to my first class at her studio, I have been taking dance lessons from her for months now and have seen nothing but positivity radiate from that woman. In fact, she is nothing but welcoming, kind, encouraging and sweet. She is so personal and although there are multiple people in class, she manages to individualize the lesson by constant rotation of partners and oversight of all our moves. In each of her classes there are people from various backgrounds and she treats everybody with respect and kindness. She even recently did a surprise graduation dance lesson party with students from Thomas Jefferson who are of various backgrounds and ethnicities. They all expressed nothing but genuine fun and loving words about Eka. In my own personal opinion, she brings out my inner confidence. She is supportive and always helps me and helps correct me when I am doing a wrong step or can't get a move. Her beginner classes are so much fun. You start class with basic moves and add on, by the end of the class you know a tiny chunk of a dance routine. I've tried the bachata and salsa classes, both have been tons of fun. She also plays great music. Such a talented teacher, a great dancer, and a great motivator!
