There's a wonderful ambience in this Dance Studio too. They provide an amazing experience & a wide variety of classes that would appeal to any age group & any level. Things just never clicked with the staff. My daughter feeling uncomfortable and did not want to go to lessons. This might have to do with the lack of control staff had over the young dancers. It was hard to witness the lack of discipline. We left before the end of the season unsure if all dance studios were like this, but quickly found out you get what you pay for. My daughter is now a company dancer at a VB group off the Blvd that is wonderfully supportive, has low teacher/student ratio and provides awesome instruction. She also was accepted as a gifted dancer at VB ODC. Parents looking for dance for a small child do your research as all programs and dance studios are NOT created equal. Thank goodness we made a change in studios that put my daughter on the right path for success.

I attended my niece's recital and was absolutely dazzled by the costumes and performances. Hosted by Channel 13 news personality, dancers from five years old fifty five years old tapped, twirled, crumped and danced around the professionally decorated sets in hilarious, beautiful and exciting routines. The costumes were wonderful. Seeing the five year olds perform California girls in their little surfer girl costumes was so adorable I almost teared up. The adult dancers were truly moving with ballet, tap, interpretive and other dance styles. I can't say that my niece learned to be a great dancer at Golden Slippers, but I can say that we all enjoyed watching her learn there.

The classes I attended were small and all women, we were made to feel very comfortable and told that this was a safe place for us to express ourselves. The dance fitness classes are fun and energetic. The pace is moderate and the teaching style is repetitive. You learn the routine in sections and repeat each section before adding on. By the end of the class you will likely be doing the routine four times in a row to music. I'm thrilled to have found Marquita and her studio, offering classes that make you feel sexy and sensual while becoming fit, toned, and fully comfortable with your wonderful body.

The website is very informative, and that is what brought me towards this place. The instructors are professional and know what they're doing. They offer a variety if classes like acro, ballet, tap, jazz, and more. These classes are offered to children and adults. If you or your child is more advanced, you could join a company or pre-company. I am so sad that I have to leave thus place, but it is fabulous and definitely recommend.

We…read morelearned a swing dance set of steps (and twirls!) that Michele showed us how to adapt to tons of songs. We left feeling confident with big smiles on our faces. When the weather turned bad in VA Beach while we were there, we decided to take a class with Michele and it was perfect. Not only is Michele a great instructor, she is also a really lovely human. We enjoyed her conversation and enthusiasm as much as the class. highly recommend!
