There was a period of fluctuations while changes in management and personnel took place, but it would honestly be unfair to focus a review on the one-off incidents rather than the AMAZING staff that works there. I have worked in one way or another with every instructor and they are fantastic, top-notch professionals. Their instructors follow a continued education/training regimen which guarantees that you'll be receiving the very best quality instruction. The management of a business is one thing (and something that the average person typically doesn't get involved with except for those one-off instances), but the actual EXPERIENCE that you receive at the place from those who provide the service, is unparalleled. It is a family! They are very caring, respectful, and understanding. I came to Arthur Murray Dance Centers in Clermont without any previous dance experience, at all! I was a fantastic chair dancer and I could wiggle my butt off while cleaning or cooking, but that's as far as it went. In my time at Arthur Murray, I've never been talked down to or made to feel insignificant. The instructors are very supportive of how far, how big and how fast you want to go. But to know this and to experience this, you have to actually spend some time there. Don't expect to get a good feel for a place if you walk out the door at the first chance you get. The cost is not cheap. That is true. But you get what you pay for and I see it as an INVESTMENT in myself. Dance is my therapy, and I'd rather pay for dance therapy than any of the other therapies, including physical therapy and medication, which did not help my chronic pain illness. I am glad that I gave Arthur Murray a chance, and I am happy to have stuck around long enough to see them overcome the bumps and grow into the cohesive and strong family they are.

You will need to purchase a ballet outfit for your little to attend, but considering the free classes, it's a minimal cost. The staff has been incredible, the teacher is very patient with the kids (and saying that for a group of toddlers is huge!) and the facility is clean and nice. They do offer paid tuition courses, as well as, adult courses / classes if you would like to enroll. We plan to enroll our little when she turns three, so we have been slowly introducing her to the building and the people to help her adjust. I definitely recommend it for anyone with smaller ones. You can enroll them for the free classes starting at 2.5 years old. Overall: A+ Loving the free courses and can't wait for our little to be a touch older to get her fully enrolled and do more classes :)

She is highly trained, extremely knowledgeable about all types of dance. Her method for teaching ballroom to couples is hands on, hour long classes and in a private studio - no one else is allowed on the floor. She teaches all methods of ballroom dance including salsa, foxtrot, rumba, and the waltz. From leading the female to dancing with the male and teaching him how to lead, she is super talented and easy to learn from. Her prices are reasonable ($50/class for a couple) and she has time slots available each week in the evenings. Olivia is passionate about dancing and even became emotional when she read a few of her poems to us. It is wonderful to have a professional dance instructor who is focused on our technique instead of our wallets. However I set a goal for myself, I wanted to run a 5k, and I knew I needed help to get there. I did the downtown WRAP program that meets on Mon and Wed nights at either Lake Eola or Howard Middle. Coach Bob is a friendly guy, life long runner, who has gotten the likes of me to run many times over. The first night we were to walk a lap and then run intermittently, lamp post to lamp post the next lap. I was doubtful, but those lamp posts are pretty close together, so I gave it a shot. Coach Bob "How'd you do?' Me: 'Pretty good, I jogged every other one' Coach Bob "There is no jogging here, only running." How very Yoda-like, and very cool. In my first week I ran halfway around the lake. Second week, a full lap. In 3 weeks I was running over 1 mile at a time. THIS WAS INSANE! CRAZINESS! Crazy good, that is. So cut to the chase, I've now run 2 5ks, improving my time second by second with each one, and am on to my third this weekend. If you're looking for a way to get the ball rolling, or wanting to train with a group to improve your time, check this out!

I signed up for the afternoon session which met from 6-7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays Downtown. On Mondays we met at the track at Howard Middle School and on Wednesdays, at Lake Eola. You also get a 15% Track Shack discount during the length of the program so it's the best time to get some good running shoes which are a MUST! I signed up because I like doing 5ks but hate the running part. If that makes any sense. This program helped train me and get my body used to running even if it is at a short distance. At the start of the 10 week session, the running practices were full but by the end, many had fallen off the program and stopped attending so there was only a handful of us. Every night we met, Coach Bob would have us warm up by having us walk several laps and then try to run more than walk as much as possible . He's a super likeable guy and 10 time Boston Marathon runner so if anyone is going to hold a session like this, it would be him! Monday nights he did more timed sessions where we would do a variety of things like run 1/4 miles in a row or do relays split into teams based on speed. Wednesdays were more about warming up and running/walking at our own pace. Lake Eola wasn't my favorite location mainly because of parking issues and the amount of people on the running path which made running nonstop frustrating. Overall, I had a positive experience. I can certainly run alot farther than I did to begin with. But I know that to keep at it, I have to continue to run even after the program has ended. I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to start running but doesn't know where to begin. Money well spent if you stick to it!
