My now hubby is not very confident about his dancing abilities but after the 3rd lesson he was already looking great! I was so so nervous about dancing at my wedding. I am not a dancer.. am not coordinated at all. We took lessons with Kay & she made it easy. We went at my pace and she was so patient and nice. The process was even... dare I say FUN?! I loved dancing and my husband and I had a great time with Kay. Everyone was impressed with our dance!! If you're thinking about doing some type of choreography for your wedding: do it! Before I get to that, let me first explain about our experience at Dance EZ. My now wife and I were referred to Dance EZ and Kay. We took about seven or eight lessons from Kay and were very very satisfied with our experience. My wife and I kept our dance a secret leading up to the wedding: none of our guests knew we could dance, let alone were having our dance choreographed by Kay. On our wedding day, once we starting throwing down our moves, our friends and family starting cheering, smiling, and clapping, with their jaws open from excitement. This crowd participation created an electric atmosphere throughout our entire dance. Once our dance ended, our band went right into their next song, and because everyone was so jazzed up watching us have so much fun dancing, they all immediately joined us on the dance floor: one of my most memorable moments of the night, for sure. This feeling would certainly not have been possible without Kay, so thank you. I uploaded one of my favorite pictures that my photograph captured during our wedding day. In it, you can see our raw-expressions: the culmination of excitement and accomplishment after about two month practicing and weekly sessions with Kay. To get more specific, what I appreciated most about my lessons were the following: 1) Kay was able to go at our pace. By that I mean, for our first three lessons we were very stiff and were struggling, but then once we learned and practiced the basics Kay saw we were capable of doing more challenging moves. 2) Kay simulated "day-of jitters" and prepared me for distractions that might arise during my wedding day. This prepared me to execute my dance without getting distracted by cheers from our families. 3) Lastly, our dance lessons were a fun respite from our our wedding planning. It was great having an hour every Monday leading up to the wedding set aside together to practice, learn and envision our wedding dance/day. As cliche as it sounds, it was a great way to get closer to my partner and de-stress (at least during each lesson) in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Again, would highly recommend. read more

I contacted Susan about choreographing two dances for my son's wedding. Even before I booked an appointment, she was very helpful in giving advice on how to make it all work in 5 months with the bride and mom of groom in Houston and the groom in Waco. We scheduled lessons during spring break, Easter, and then the week before the wedding. The bride and groom videoed their dance in the studio to help them when practicing on their own. I cannot say enough about our experience with Susan and Kay at Dance EZ. My now husband and I wanted to take some lessons and have a dance choreographed for our First Dance. We were so impressed with how well they came up with a dance to go along with our chosen song.
