Over the years, I've trained in company, ballet, jazz, contemporary, stretch classes, private lessons, and so much more. The instruction is exceptional, and every teacher is knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping each dancer reach their full potential. The performance opportunities, especially The Nutcracker and the spring recitals, are always so well organized and create memories that last a lifetime. One of my favorite things about Taylor Academy of Dance is the community. From day one, the dancers were so welcoming and kind, and I immediately felt like I belonged. I've made lifelong friendships here, and some of my favorite memories have come from rehearsals, backstage before performances, dressing room laughs, and celebrating each other's accomplishments. Jill Taylor has created such a positive, supportive environment where every dancer feels valued. She truly cares about her students, not only as dancers but as people, and it shows in everything she does. Over the years, I've also had the privilege of getting to know Mrs. Bert, whose kindness and encouragement have made the studio feel even more like home. Together, they've created an environment where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and like part of the family. Taylor Academy of Dance has helped me grow in so many ways, both on and off the stage. In the 10 years that my daughter was at her last studio she never had a friend, but on day one the young girls welcomed her in and made her feel like she has been dancing here for years. Not only were the girls so welcoming Ms.Taylor and her mother, Ms. Bert, treated my daughter like family. She really helped my daughter advance in ballet, and because Ms. Jill has so much knowledge in this field, we realized that the last studio was not teaching my daughter the correct way. OK so let me first say that I have called this company several times to find out information about…read morethe classes they offer. I feel it is important to check service levels not only by using the service, but "interviewing" the potential service provider. Each call resulted in ok service over the phone until this last one. I called CC & Company because I heard that they were one of the best in the area. I think the key here is "in the area". Does not mean best of the best. The classes are not actual dance classes for the little kids. Creative Movement is not something I am interested in. My children can get that at a day care. I want a dance company to provide REAL dance classes. They say that they are not able to teach kids so young. Well I could put well over a thousand youtube links that say that yes younger kids can be taught and be exceptional. Just disappointing that the daytime classes are not available and the variety is truly not there. When I asked the person on the phone for a referral of a studio in Raleigh that taught classes during the day for 4 year olds, she told me that she did not know of any other studios. This company has been open for how long and they don't know of any other companies. Just a tip. Customer service is not just about getting customers to buy from you, but being able to provide them what they need. That is what brings lifetime customers. I say CC & Company needs to really step it up and get with the market of younger children and the talent they have. If you're looking for a studio with an owner who doesn't have a backbone this is the studio for you. 2. If you're looking for a studio that allows volunteer parents to discipline students without the other child parents being present this is the studio for you. 3. If you're looking for a studio that allows kids to rip masks off other kids faces with no consequences this is the studio for you. 4. If you want a studio where kids are allowed to come to class after being home from school the same day with fevers this is the studio for you. ( This happened multiple times and the administration did nothing) my child had the kid who came with a fever cough in her face and thought it was funny. This is the studio for you. 5. If you're looking for a studio where you volunteer over 600 hours in one year and are still treated like crap by the owner this is the studio for you. 6. If you are looking for a studio where parent volunteers basically manipulate to get what they want for their kids and are allowed to get away with whatever they want even lying and having other families ask to leave the studio ( after ten loyal years) this is the studio for you. 7. If you want parent drama, bullying ( by students and parents), and false accusations made about you that are never even investigated this is the studio for you. WFYB I give 4 out of 5 But DDI 1 out of 5 This studio has changed over the years and not for the best. If you are taking recreational classes you will probably be fine but if your child is asked to join any of the companies I would be very concerned.

Since we moved to Knightdale I decided to enroll her into ballet and tap again and it looked like there were 2 options near me. I read the Yelp review for Dance Center and hoped it was a one off experience. I contacted them and Miss Cindy was super nice and responsive. Invited my daughter to attend a class to for free to see if we liked it. After class there was no sales pitch. Miss Cindy was really great with the girls so I registered my daughter. Glad I did. She loved it and it is clear she is there to learn dance and not for me to pay for something crazy every time I turn around. Get this- for the recital even though she will be doing ballet and tap routines- the costume is the same. It converts so I don't have to buy 2 overpriced costumes she will wear one day. The other studio made you buy 2. The recital tickets are a reasonable price as well. The classes start on time and run through the entire hour. Miss Cindy will call the girls out on doing something wrong so it is corrected. So this is a win/win. Daughter loves it and is learning something and I don't feel like I am a human money dispenser :) Only thing I would like is more room for parents to sit and keep items. Maybe a coat rack installed and a couple more chairs.

Unlike many dance studios, it's a place that fosters CONFIDENCE, DEDICATION, and PASSION-- which are amazing, lifelong qualities to instill in kids and especially teens. Kirstie, the director, is such a joy to be around and has created a truly unique and special place. Note only Kirstie, but all of the teachers too are committed to the students and create a very positive learning environment. Finally, the students are wonderful providing positive support to one another and put in a great deal of hard work. As I said before, the studio is truly a gem. Send your children or take class yourself as NCDI. It's a great find -- helped me remember why I love dancing again.

Be very careful about ordering tickets over the telephone. They are terrible about sending your…read moretickets out. I ordered tickets in July, and I still do not have tickets. Since they had not sent them out, I thought I might change them. OMG, all they could do is try to make money by charging a fee for each ticket , and then try to charge more for a ticket in a lesser seat. They are worse than the airlines. We need a Pete Buttigieg over them to exact fairness. I know that this is probably a management problem, but it is a sad state when poor management overshadows a cultural gem for our community.

I started taking my granddaughter to Little Gym last summer. I am a teacher and was out of school…read moreso I was able to take her to a morning class. She loved it! Once I went back to school, my daughter and her husband started taking her at night since I live out of town. Her night class has gotten huge and the parents do not control their children. My granddaughter has been knocked down and trampled several times and the parents never apologize or even acknowledge it and nor does the teacher. I called to express my concerns and found out that the only smaller classes for her age are offered during the day and both my daughter and son in law work until 5:00. We decided it is best to stop going to Little Gym.The price we pay is expensive and I feel like she is going to get hurt. My granddaughter loves going but her class has just gotten out of control. I wish Little Gym would either limit the number of kids in the night and Saturday classes or add more night classes. Unfortunately some people do have to work.

We did two sessions of gymnastics for our 3 year old and dance classes to start soon too. We even had her birthday party here and it was better than we could have expected. Not only do you get the whole facility to yourselves, but they serve the food and clean up for you too. They even packed up all the presents and helped us load them up. So fun and so low maintenance for us parents. We live 5 minutes away from a tumble gym but drive an extra 20 minutes because this facility is way way better.
