She doesn't care about your child at all compared to the good dancers or her favorites! This dance center isn't worth crap! Waste of time and definitely a waste of money! Wish I sued this place before my child and I moved to CC&CO a few years back! Do not go to this dump of favorites only!

The teachers make the class so much fun for the kids and my daughter left class singing, "I love tutu school! I love tutu school! I love tutu school!" They even provide diapers and a changing table in the bathrooms for the younger students. They sell tutus and leotards and other adorable clothes. They also have tons of ballet themed books on shelves as well as toys to keep kids busy before or after class starts/for siblings who are waiting. Also, the instructors seem to always provide a 5 minute grace period to allow for parents to make it to class a few minutes late. They don't start immediately which is very considerate for parents of young children. I highly recommend tutu school to anyone who is unsure or on the fence. They were absolutely above and beyond/ exceeded my expectations. For reference, my daughter has also tried daisy dance and twinkle tots (different ballet schools) and tutu school was hands down the best option by far.

We were looking for a fun way to get back in shape and the gym wasn't it. Since we've enjoyed dancing we went looking for somewhere we could improve our dancing and ... get in shape. Now I admit it's only been a few months but we're having a ball ;-). We were fortunate to get Melanie as our instructor and she has been great with us. Patient, strong, fun are all words I'd use to describe Melanie. We'll never be competitive ballroom dancers but that wasn't our goal. The goal was to get into better shape and have fun. Mission in process of being accomplished. So, if you're looking for a GREAT group of people to join with to have a wonderful time while you're learning to dance, I couldn't recommend A Step to Gold and Melanie more highly.

Kay and the faculty are very supportive and attentive to all the kids, regardless of their level. They keep a careful eye on who needs what kind of work and suggest classes accordingly. It's remarkable how well they know each kid, and everything they are dealing with both in and out of dance. They also enforce a policy of all the kids being nice to each other. Everyone applauds for everyone else, everyone thanks the teacher at the end of each class, everyone works hard and is supportive of each other. The studio is growing along with my daughters, so that there are always challenging classes to take and interesting things to learn. They have been given wonderful opportunities not just to perform and to compete, but also to do things like dance at local cultural festivals and for seniors in a care facility. The studio is also very respectful of family time and homework time, and many of their dancers are also honors students in school. My daughters have learned not just how to dance, but how to manage their time, how to be responsible, and how to support and nurture others. She was super excited except the place I found was full! After googling dance dynamic, they had spaces. They were super friendly! They let my daughter borrow tap shoes and said if she was interested they could recommend a place and brand. The teachers were great and gave the kids one on one attention. The only downfall was I didn't like the small window and the blinds were down but open. It made watching the class hard.

From the moment I walked into the studio and asked about the program i got such a warm feeling. It felt like they genuinely cared about every student and knew the families. Just so happened the person I spoke to ended up being her teacher for tap! Ms Eileen is so engaging with this group of 3-4 year olds!! I later found out she taught preschool for 14 years so I feel my daughter is in great hands. She makes it fun each week. They really learn too. "Mr. David" (office manager) greets everyone with a smile as if he is welcoming us to his home every week. He has been more than accommodating with tuition dues and flexible. I think that bringing him to classes weekly has really helped him learn to follow directions well. He has been desperately trying to do a cartwheel after they practiced this in class a few times. Because of resource conflict, my weekly NY style Salsa sessions were moved into Barriskill to finish up the last two weeks. Due to limited real estate, the studio space we borrowed was just enough for the group, but that also means it gets a bit warmer than normal. Overall, the facility is clean, the staffs are mostly on top of the operations.

I just love watching her in this class…read more- her instructor plays fun princess music, they dance with little props that go along with the seasons/holidays - pumpkins, "falling" leaves, etc. One class they all got to put on a princess dress. It's a great combination of age appropriate ballet activities mixed with ballet terminology and moves. After seeing a Groupon for the school and making sure their schedule fit for my little girl I…read moresigned her up for class. I didn't know what to expect as it was my first experience going to dance school and NOT being the dancer. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Ms. Rhonda mans the front desk and she is extremely friendly and knowledgable. She immediately made me feel comfortable and made sure I had everything we would need for class. They will order anything you might need and are not pushy about it in the least. My daughter is 2.5 and loves the class. She loves her teacher and each week looks forward to the class. The best part that even at her young age she is actually learning, which as a dancer at one time makes me so happy. Once our Groupon time frame was over, there was no pressure to continue with classes but we have. I am very happy with our experience so far and hopefully will continue to be so for years to come!

This is a quote from the office manager when I said I was…read moreconcerned about the teacher opening the door for the 5 and younger and letting them loose without checking for an adult. OM told me this is not a school. It is not their responsibility to make sure our kids are safe. This after I found a baby sleeping in a running car in the parking lot. Parent was in a back room, with all adults, eating lunch. OM told me they were taking turns checking on him so he was ok, even though car could not be seen from the school door. She then reprimanded ME for saying I find that disgusting, in front of the babies sister. How would sister have felt if police came or if child was abducted or died??? If this is how they protect their own, its no wonder they refuse to protect ours. Chaos and disorganization are overwhelming. No one seems to have any solid grasp on how to run this place. They insist you wear certain colors and styles, but don't know what that is? Set up an event to size and order all outfits... but then no one knew what we needed. Ended up spending more than necessary bc they weren't sure!!! The kicker is my account information is trapped in their system! I tried to delete my account and cc information but it is not an option! What!!? How can they hold my card and personal information hostage. This is terrifying and unacceptable. No where on the site does it have the option to delete my account. Don't trust them. They are money hungry with no concern for your child.
