They are very long...endless really...and as parents, we need to sit through a 3 hpur performance, of which 3 minutes features my step daighter. The remain 2 hours and 57 minutes are mainly the same kids, performing the same dance moves, in different costumes. Last year was even worse. There were two shows on the same day. Between getting her there, the breaks, lunch, and the actual dances, the day lasted over 11 hours. We were all exhausted. I know other studios separate out the older kids from the younger ones for this very reason. Whats worse, we can't take her out of there. They have a police officer that precludes parents from seeing, talking, or taking their child. Im pretty sure that's not legal. If it were up to me, I would switch studios.

Some of the events required Kirk to walk for more than a mile and he would bagpipe consistently for more than an hour. In freezing cold or rain, Kirk soldiered through with a smile and perfect timing. Kirk has a wonderful understanding of the bagpipes and has a diverse repertoire of songs that he has memorized and could play at a moments notice. We knew that our wedding DJ would not need to be an over-the-top party maintainer (like so many DJs claim they are) - we wanted someone reliable and play the songs we had in mind. What we got was more than just a guy with speakers to play our music. To bullet-point the stand-out aspects of Bob: * very informative website with all details you need to know (before hiring him and during the planning process) * easy email and phone contact (will always call or email back quickly) * owner of a variety of equipment pending on what your venue calls for (good amount of items to choose from) * highly organized (thought of many things I didn't) * very ambitious (he visited the venue before we finalized things to tell us his final thoughts on equipment selection) * awesome online system to organize music, preferences, and all aspects of the event timeline * offers many preferences on his appearance and involvement in the event * makes everything simple Of planning a wedding, one of the most frustrating things bar-none was sorting through the junky DJs that wanted to be hired - they demanded a price that was far over my (or any reasonable) budget (sometimes entering ridiculous territory, several over $1,800) and more often than not, they had terrible websites and it took an arm and a leg just to get basic information out of them (you'd think if it's their profession to constantly be finding new gigs, they would have a website with Q/A or at least a PDF of their services and basic information on what they have to offer. We found Bob and had a great feeling from the start from both his website and communication and after a couple emails and phone calls, we hired him feeling very confident. Aside from preparing/organizing the event and signing him up, Bob did a great job at the wedding. He was on time with his equipment set up ahead of schedule (he helped with some equipment during the ceremony too). His table isn't cluttered with advertisements of his services (as many DJs are - this is something he mentioned right away that I didn't even have to ask about) and he did a great job playing our music, managing our preferences and keeping the dancing guests happy (as they come and go, you don't want to start a new song that makes everyone walk away, etc). As a planner to an event, the last you want to have to worry about are all the things you set-up and planned. With Bob, I didn't need to worry about anything regarding music the entire night. Highly recommended.

My friends and guests filled the dance floor until the very last song. In fact, Bob even played an additional song after our last scheduled dance because everyone was having such a wonderful time. He played the perfect mix of song after song that kept the party going. I also want to mention the high quality Bose cylindrical sound system that was easy on the ears sounded awesome. I have been to so many parties where the DJ uses speakers that are hard on the ears and just don't sound good. He definitely has the best equipment I've ever seen. Bob is very organized and we planned out the whole night of music in advance. His website was easy to use to create a playlist and an equally important do not play list. He played all the songs on our list and even played them during the times we requested (cocktails, dinner, dancing). Overall he is a true professional and a real pleasure to work with!
