They are both such amazing teachers, so patient and kind and made us feel like we could do it, even though we were in our fifties with no experience at all. Now almost 10 years later we are still taking lessons and love to dance. Matt is so patient and good at explaining things as well as figuring out where the problem is when a dance move doesn't work. It is so satisfying to work through new moves and new dances and master them. Matt and Marina are not only good teachers and choreographers, they are excellent dancers. It is such a pleasure just to watch them dance. They have the patient for beginners and the knowledge and expertise for intermediate and advanced dancers. I highly recommend them!

My daughter's pretty shy and it seemed like it's a pretty strict place but she loves it. Ms. Stacey is pretty popular and my daughter was the last one in her class. I see the difference in my daughter once she started this class. This place gives each dancer the skills to become not only great dancers but to be confident in themselves. It took them a few days to message me and my friend until today when they said that the class we selected was full, but they had hip hop available If we wanted that. To which I said yes that would be great. I was starting to think I got passed, then the messages stopped.. I waited and again got no response. so when I called my friend and I told her what happened she said I'm still messaging them. They're helping me with my daughter getting her on the schedule and she said I will tell them that you're interested.. so a few minutes later she asked me if they ever reached out to me that She gave them my information and I said no. So I called them three times and it went to a voicemail. So rightfully frustrated. I told my friend forget it, I don't want anything from them. I should not have to beg a company to let my child try something. This all was very unprofessional. I know several families who have their children at this location and today was a great disappointment when I've heard and read nothing but great things about this company. My child has grandparents who are willing to pay for her to go here if she liked it, but after this I told them no I'd find another place. Ms. Marina (and all the teachers) are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. My daughter loves her classes so much that she's now enrolled every day & looks forward to every class. The friendships she has built here are such a gift too. I especially love that the students get to be a part of full-length ballet productions (instead of just a 3-minute recital song), and that they get plenty of invaluable stage experience. What makes this school truly unique is their commitment to the Vaganova method (one of the most rigorous & elite). It results in stunning dancers who are an absolute joy to watch on stage. Miss Kaitlyn is so patient, friendly and guides the children so well that they don't even know they're learning! She is definitely an asset there and we adore her! I love how the class sizes are smaller and tutus of course are always a welcome! The studio itself is tidy, cozy and cute! We also just recently attended a "Twirling with Santa" at the studio. The price was very fair and it was a perfect and personal experience for the kids. So much better than waiting in line at the mall. Our experience has been amazing especially since my daughter has recently been diagnosed with Autism - this experience really helps mold her and means so much! P.s. YES! Isis Star Dance Studio is one of the biggest belly dance studios in the area, if not one of the…read morebigger studios in the US. The largest attend classes at this studio are Isis' cabaret style belly dance classes. They also offer Hula, Doubeck drum classes, children classes, usually one-two different cardio/dance related classes, and they will usually have a tribal belly dance class as well depending on demand for it at the time. As well they have various performance troops from their Wings of Isis, Isis' Professional Performing Company , The Drums of Isis, etc. Isis also has in studio workshops but they also host usually in August every year a huge belly dance weekend of workshop & performances called Yaa Halla, Y'all. This usually has workshops by big name dancers & drummers in the industry, as well as performances by those giving workshops, up and comers, as well as booths to buy costumes, drums, etc. It has been a while from the time that I've taken classes there so I can't really speak to classes currently. Which is why I can't allow myself to do more than 3 stars because I can't speak to current classes being offered. Yet many of my friends that I made when I was taking classes at Isis ... some that started before, at the same time, or after ... are still there and have or working their way in to the professional performance troops. They try to be as family friendly as possible. There are many mother daughter, sisters, husband and wives, that are all involved in the studio in one way shape or fashion. Go check them out, maybe attend a Hafla (best way to describe it is almost a recital mixed in with party) See about checking out a beginners class.
