It has a warm homey feel to it, there is a changing room for the girl's and the dance room is enclosed. The parents can watch the dancers on the closed circuit tv in the front room. This is a + I think as there are no distractions for the kids. Other studios have glass on one wall so parents can watch, my kid would just look at me and not focus on the dancing. It is family owned and I feel very close w them, they take the time to know who you and your kids are as well. They like to see the progression of their teachings its heart warming! I have to say Mrs. Marianne is the best teacher she is very experianced and does so well with the wee ones, her energy is so high and you can tell she loves what she does! They have a recital once a year and they put alot into it. The owner is Carolyn and her daughter's teach some of the classes. I am not a religous person by all means but they are a Christian conservative family. Her daughter's were not comfortable at other studios where their costumes would show a little too much skin and the routines got somewhat provocative. They opened Purely Dance they have doubled their attendance in one year and I see them continuing to grow! While I never did find and admittedly, I didn't really search for either, a class aimed at young adults who don't want to look like an idiot on the dance floor, I somehow fumbled my way through my 20s, had a child in my 30s who is now a budding primary schooler. I thought to myself, what are all the really important things in life that a man should know how to do and somehow "don't look like an idiot on the dance floor" came to mind -- so here I am. A middle aged man sitting in the waiting area of a dance studio while my grade schooler learns how to dance. Sure, he looks cool doing it, he's learning coordination, he's part of a team of kids doing something together, he's getting his energy out in a productive way, he's cart wheeling, front rolling, hand standing, back bending, stomping, popping, locking, pointing in a hip-hop-esq way but what is most important here is that when he becomes an adult, he'll be able to roll up to da club and show up all those other posers who only wish that they "didn't look like an idiot on the dance floor". No amount of best value for your money, conveniently located hip-hop, tumbling, tap, or ballet classes can even compare to the satisfaction he will have when he's in his 20s and ruling the roost. To my 21 year old son making bad decisions in life, I dedicate this review to you. Now please just let me get through these multiple days per week watching you fumble around on the dance floor trying to keep up with the kids next to you while you shake your tiny little groove thing!

What was particularly concerning was how the situation was handled by the front office. The staff member appeared to identify me as the aggressor despite what I personally witnessed, and I felt that I was treated unfairly and unprofessionally throughout the situation. Unfortunately, the experience became even more concerning when my daughter was physically hurt twice within the same hour. I personally witnessed what happened, and I did not believe either incident was accidental. Despite this, the front office dismissed the incidents as "an accident," which was extremely upsetting as a parent. I also felt that I was treated differently because of my ethnicity. I cannot speak for the intentions of the staff, but the way I was treated left me feeling discriminated against and unwelcome. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with how both situations were handled. Given the prices and the way my daughter and I were treated, I would not personally return or recommend this establishment. I encourage others to carefully consider their experience and expectations before spending their hard-earned money here.

Both of my daughters thrive here and absolutely love their sweet teachers and friends. It's hard to play favorites when it comes to the teachers - they all teach with both kindness and excellence and are warm and welcoming to parents and students. Another thing I love - the communication is top notch between staff and families. Emails contain everything you need to know for your dancer in a timely manner, responses are quick and helpful, and they are never bothered by questions and concerns. Staff is usually in class or running between classes, when you do see them they are always smiling and will stop to talk to anyone along the way. They do have high standards for dance but they will help your child and be their biggest cheerleader as they get better and better. I am so thankful that the classes are all after school and work times. While I know some younger kids could potentially go to class during the day if a parent was free, I greatly appreciate that the norm is not a class in the middle of a work day, this greatly helps with working parents. My daughter has been in 3 levels of combo classes so far and we have loved them. The combo class lets the kiddos do both Tap and Ballet and they normally have 2 recitals a year. As the kids get older they normally gravitate to 1 type of class, which we are hoping to do that in the fall when class schedules come out. The studio also has company dancers who have a lot more practices and competitions. I love that this is an option for the future, but it isn't pushed on the kiddos. All the kiddos that I have seen in the company truly love dancing and are treated like a family. I am not sure my daughter will ever want to do something like that, but I can greatly appreciate the spirit and trust that is given to Lora (owner) and the teachers.
