If you're a man who wants to take ballet, don't waste your time with this dump. I called this place…read moreto find out about coming by as a drop-in for their adult ballet class. The woman that I spoke with at Karen Horton School of Dance told me that they did not allow people to take drop-in classes and acted weird with me over the phone. This seemed extremely odd to me so about a month later I asked an ex-girlfriend to email the school and ask them the same thing. She received an email back stating not only that they DO allow drop-in classes but that the first class would be free and they were looking forward to having her in class! I find this beyond pathetic. These "women" know nothing about me or how much of a passion that I have to dance. This type of back country mentality is why there are no men in ballet in this part of the world unless they are either A) homosexual or B) extremely emasculated. My ex-girlfriend agrees wholeheartedly with this. In Cuba where the culture is FAR more progressive (meaning advanced), there are as many men as there are women in ballet. Those men are also revered because of the fact that there is a very definite element of real masculinity in ballet. Only very low cultured and redneck people who are BARELY out of the trees in terms of human evolution see ballet the way these people do. My only regret in writing this review is that I had to give Karen Horton School of Dance 1 star because if I could, I would give this backwoods cesspool minus 1,000 stars!

Absolutely one of our favorite experiences in Nashville!…read more Mallory was phenomenal! Her energy and genuine love for what she does are absolutely palpable. She made learning the dances so easy with clear instructions, while somehow creating the perfect balance of professionalism, laid-back fun, and constant encouragement. But honestly, I can't quite describe the pure magic she brings to the room. She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable, confident, and ready to have fun--even when you're trying to figure out which foot is supposed to go where! My best friends and I had the BEST time, and our line dancing experience at Stompin' Grounds quickly became one of our favorite memories from Nashville. We laughed, danced, and made memories we'll be talking about for years to come. Thank you, Mallory, for making our girls' trip even more special! We would absolutely recommend Stompin' Grounds to anyone visiting Nashville!

An iconic Nashville activity come to life! Registration through the website was very easy and…read moreprovided step by step instructions on where to go, what to bring and how to get in. Reminder, that if you are over 21 please bring an ID, makes it easier to get through the front door on Broadway. As an alternative, there is an entrance through the alley between the bars on Broadway and the Ryman that accesses all/most of the bars. After going all the way to the top floor with an amazing view, our instructor Jason checked us in. He did a fabulous job, explaining the process, breaking down the line dance and taking some amazing video to keep to show all your friends and family what a fabulous dancer that you are. HA! They send the video a few days after the experience and its included in your fee. My suggestion would be to either build more time into the lesson to grab drinks between or pay a bit more and have a bar tender upstairs. They do provide immediate access to water because boy shaking it makes you thirsty. Had a fabulous time and definitely encourage visitors to give this a try.
