Greg came, saw the problem, and explained that the technology has evolved somewhat since the original work was done four years ago: Now, instead of a cable, the best arborist practice is a reinforced band that goes around the leader on each end with a shock absorber in the middle of the span. From the look of it, I'd say it is a clearly superior solution to this problem, and the cost was again reasonable. Pinnacle remains my recommended first call for any substantial tree work in central Maine.
