I had a cable come off the drum on my garage door and needed it fixed fast. Dan gave me a clear quote over the phone -- no paid visit required just to get pricing, and no hidden costs added once the work was done. That kind of upfront honesty is hard to find. The response was quick, and the repair itself was done efficiently -- clearly someone who knows garage doors well and doesn't waste time. In and out, problem solved. I'll definitely be calling Dan's Garage Doors again for any future garage door needs, and I'd recommend them to anyone in Elk Grove looking for honest, fast, and professional service. read more

I just want to start with saying we are very happy with our new garage door. If you have an older garage door that has no windows in it. Please get windows!! It is an absolute game changer. We got the windows named "obscure". Which are great because you cannot see inside of the garage, but they let so much light inside. Previously the light in the corner was all the garage had. Even during the day it was so dark inside. The garage door was the original that came with the house and more than 20 years old, it definitely needed to be replaced. The other day the motor burnt out. I called Dan on Wednesday and he was able to give me some basic info. The next day he was able to get back to me with specific information, and we were able to choose how we wanted our garage door to look. A few hours later we were able to get a more exact quote from our choices. After some communication about our schedules, he was able to come over Saturday to take measurements and give us more information. It was great to meet him in person. He was easy to communicate with, very personable, and had excellent customer service. He was able to answer all our questions and describe anything we asked about. The next day he sent over another quote after we had choose the motor for the garage door. On Wednesday he installed our new garage door. When he was done, he cleaned his area, and left the garage floor spotless. He showed us what he did and said if anything comes up to let him know and he would come back. We are very pleased with his work. In a week we were able to easily communicate with him, get our questions answered, receive the information to choose our door and the price of everything. I highly recommend his services, and will continue to recommend him to anyone interested in a new door or services. Dan, thank you for your work!! read more

We had a few overhead doors at our shop in need of service. Before we found Dan, a company came out and told us we needed to replace motors, parts, etc. After Dan looked at our issues, he was able to repair our motor and most of our doors for a fraction of the cost. We also used Dan to install two residential garage doors and he did an excellent job. It is hard to come by companies like Dan's Garage Doors these days and we are SO happy we found him! read more

Dan’s Garage Doors - Garage Door Services Near Me

Easy to recommend... Dan knows his stuff. My opener is now much quieter than it has been since it was installed and it's connected to my wi-fi once again. Great Service, reasonable price, and that's about all anyone can ask for. Will be changing my regular maintenance to Dan going forward. read more

A few weeks ago my door needed some re-balancing (spring wasn't doing enough of the work to help the opener). Called Dan's Garage Doors based on reviews seen here & on ND and was thoroughly impressed with the service provided & overall experience. Dan provided honest estimates of cost and his schedule availability, and was true to his word on both. He quickly and safely made the much-needed tension spring adjustments and also gave the door hinges a quick spray lube. My door has been running smoothly and more quietly since and its obvious my opener isn't straining as much as it used to prior to the tension spring adjustment & hinge spray. If i have issues with my garage door again, i'll be sure to check with Dan first. Highly recommended! read more

Very prompt, polite, and very reasonably priced. I needed my garage opener replaced and he got it none within the week.

I highly recommend Dan's Garage Door Repair, and have referred him to over 30 friends. Competitive Pricing for High-Quality Products Extensive Expertise Exceptional Integrity Prompt, Dependable, and Trustworthy Service When my Genie motor burned out, I turned to Yelp and NextDoor for recommendations, reaching out to four different companies. Dan was the first to respond, while one company didn't answer and two others sent sales reps later in the day. I received quotes for both a Liftmaster motor and an insulated Clopay door. Dan's quote was significantly lower--$1,000 less than A1 Garage and $1,600 less than Precision Garage Doors. In addition, the other sales reps insisted that I purchase a new door along with the motor. "They were upselling. Dan, on the other hand, was honest and informed me that only the motor needed replacement. In the end, I chose Dan for both the motor and door not only for his transparency and competitive pricing, but also for his quality service. The new door operates quietly with a belt drive, the Liftmaster LED lights are bright, the door windows reduce the need for lighting when entering the garage, and the insulation ensures the garage remains comfortably temperate. I wish I could find a professional with Dan's expertise in plumbing, electrical, construction, carpentry, heating, and air conditioning. Thank you, Dan! read more

We chose Dan's Garage Doors because of his 5 star reviews and were not disappointed. Our garage door was tearing at the part of the door that attaches to the garage door opener. Dan was awesome. He first gave me tips when I called for assistance. I told him I just had too much going on and if he could come help. Initially, I had someone else install a garage door opener and it didn't work. I called Dan to schedule an appointment. He showed up on time, fixed the bad install, adjusted the tension, loose brackets and aligned the opener with the track. Just amazing skill, experience and at a great rate. I will definitely call Dan again for any garage install in the future! read more

Dan responded quickly late on a Sunday night. He was willing to give a quote after I had sent him a picture of the problem. I thought it might be a broken spring and it was. Others wanted to come out before giving a quote. Dan came on Tuesday and arrived around the time he said he would. It was raining pretty heavy so it held him up by about 10 minutes but he kept in communication with me to let me know. He was kind yet professional and got the job done quickly. He lubed the hinges and tightened the bolts and made sure everything was running perfectly before leaving. He also had the best price and is local. I would highly recommend Dan for anyone needing help with their garage door and have shared with my neighbors and friends. Thank you Dan. read more

Dan's Garage Doors provides great service and affordable, best price. Love his quality of workmanship on our garage.

A busted garage door sucks! I called a "reputable " company and asked for a quote. They know you're over a barrel and gave me a quote. I told them I had another quote coming. They wanted to charge me $95 . They did not disclose the fee so I refused to pay. Dan fixed it for less than the price of the quote! Dan is HONEST, FAIR, and a genuine good person! I recommend him 100%!! Don't waste your time calling anyone else unless you like getting gouged! I wish I had just called Dan first! He's got my business for all my future garage needs. Thank you Dan! read more

Outstanding work and honest assessment with affordable pricing. We had a garage that upon the first estimate from another company was estimated to cost 3 to 4 times over the estimate we got from Dan's Garage Doors. Punctual, efficient and through, Dan was able to come in assess and provide a clear picture of what the problem was and provide a viable, reasonable solution. The workmanship was so well done and complete that I can now rest easy knowing I have an honest broker who will not take advantage of a situation.
