A large range of juices and smoothies, many with vegetables and some really interesting combinations. And if you don't like their options you can even choose your own. Friendly, helpful and fast service topped this off for me as just the boost I needed! Now back to the shops....

It's close to where I live, has heaps of parking space on-site and it's pretty much always open when I need it to be. Second, the guys who work here are always super friendly, smiling and helpful. Even in winter when it's freezing inside the shop and I can't help but thinking how lucky I am not having to do this job. Third, they always have great wine specials and sometimes even wine-tastings. All in all, everything you want from a bottle shop.

I googled this place in anticipation of writing the first review, because I'd never heard of…read moreit last year and it is slightly off the beaten track, but lo and behold, it wasn't even registered as a business on Yelp! So here it is! I also wanted to review this place in anticipation of the upcoming Winter Reds Festival that takes place annually in the winter all around the Adelaide Hills. If you can get along to VPW, I highly recommend it. The cellar door is a family-run operation and everyone who works here is charming and friendly. The place itself is also charming and cosy, and you could be forgiven for wanting to stay overnight after you've enjoyed their wine range! (although being serious, I think you'll have to look down the road for accomodation) They seem to enjoy doing french-themed light meals (last year's Winter Reds they did a coq au vin (that's chicken in wine for all you non-Frenchies!) and they also did a French themed food spread at Crush 2015 this year but I was busy out at Longview so I missed it!) and the wines are interesting and tasty. As they say, their wines are 'premium, elegant, cool climates Adelaide Hills wines'. They are definitely, as they have also self-described, a 'chic boutique'! In that the wines are all small batch production, and the Cellar Door is only open on the 4th weekend of every month (and not open every month either!) but if they are open for the Winter Reds Festival, I highly recommend getting in for some good ol' fashioned home cooked winter treats and cracking vino!

I don't know why, maybe it seems childish? Maybe they're worried about infringing on copyright? Who knows... I like it anyway. The meats inside this store really are quality, and while we have butchers closer to us, if we're out and about and can wing a trip past this place we will. The butchers really are friendly and the range is pretty decent as well. If you're stuck for meal ideas or if there's just too much selection for you to get your head around the staff will happily share their personal recommendations with you. The sign out the front says "quality meat and friendly service". Both of these are right on the money.

New India Market has an excellent range of products which are imported regularly and kept up to date. If you are longing for a particular ingredient that you just can't find elsewhere, it'll be here. The staff are friendly and helpful and can direct you to what you're after. The one drawback is that certain items the staff only know the sub-continental word for the item. I spent forever trying to explain frankincense before giving up, then again if I'd asked for something more common they'd probably know what I was on about, and when I asked for a certain kind of coconut milk they instantly directed me. This store capably accommodates a few other groups outside of Indian food enthusiasts--Pakistanis, Fijian Indians, Sri Lankan and Pacific Islanders as well as coeliacs. Being half-Samoan, my parents often head to New India Market for their Islander wares as palusami, taro, yams, cassava and the savoury banana chips. There are also a lot of beauty items direct from India which aren't easy to come by like real coconut oil (for body and hair) and neem (a natural Clearasil). As Indian food here is mainly based on non-gluten products, coeliacs have hit the jackpot with the New India Market and can stock up on many snacks and food items. Not only can you purchase ingredients but you can purchase the certain items and utensils for preparing those ingredients. Of all the many products, my favourite product from here are the cans of pink Tuna "Wahoo" which tastes phenomenal and quite different from Australian canned Tuna. Yum!

You're unlikely to find any really unusual items here, but you can get all your basics. I wouldn't say it is really expensive or cheap, nor would I saw the produce is amazing quality or terrible. Everything is standard price and quality. Herbs can a be a little pricey here, if you're near the Brickworks I'd stop in and get fresh herbs there. As well as fresh produce they stock some local jams, nuts, honey and juice. The juice is particularly good. The staff are quite friendly too, which is a plus.
