Not sure if they do this regularly but they were lovely and opened the non dairy choc to make me one :) Comfy booths. Nice layout, outdoor area. Its a small cafe so expect the ability to pump out a huge variety on the menu. Instead expect made-with-care salads and cakes with yummy drinks on offer.

Shared a smoked salmon brashetta entree then i had chicken pollo pasta and my partner had the Gnocchi. Entree was fresh and light beautiful. Chicken Pollo was nothing special to be honest. And for the price you would have paid $25 for the average dish i would be pretty disappointed. The gnocchi was light and fluffy and taste was great. All on all i was a bit disappointed with my first time experience but I would go back to try one of their wood fired pizzas. Fingers crossed i wont be disappointed again.

Theo's really reminds me the old school cafeteria, but since they have to serve their food to a much higher standard because of their clientele you really can't go wrong.. :) They have a great selection of freshly made, rolls, lepinas, bruschetta and focaccias.. They also have a great selection of daily hot foods.. Pastas, curries and so on.. For those cold winters afternoon.. The Deli is limited to breakfast and lunch meals, but do both extremely well with a huge variety of dishes to choose from. Their version of the B.L.T in a focaccia is my personal favourite, and the sizing doesn't leave you wanting more. The chicken schnitzel wrap is also a delectable choice. Coffee here is superb, and the fact that they offer large mugs is a bonus - the more the better! In addition to hot beverages, the cafe also makes smoothies on demand with your choice of ingredients. My girlfriend loves their freshly squeezed orange juice and carrot smoothies, and although the combination of the two may be off-putting, it's surprisingly good. The only criticism I can make of this place is that they don't stay open too long passed lunchtime and are closed on weekends, which is a downer if you're hoping to grab a late lunch or a weekend brunch.

All the colours work together, green being their spark of colour. And certain little touches of green are really clever. For example, I brought my dogs along to the café and I was handed two green bones on a plate for them to enjoy! How sweet is that? Do you know any other cafes that offer your pups a treat? Not many that is for sure! The menu is simple, but well thought out. I ordered the DIY Brekkie, which you have poached eggs and toast as the base and you can add other items. I decided on haloumi and avocado. Eggs were cooked prefect. But only one slice of bread? It was quite a costly meal of over $20, so I thought I would get two slices at least. Oh well... My partner tried the truffle scrambled eggs. Which I thought was much better value. So much flavour and cooked really well. Fluffy and not overdone! I am glad to see this café in Aldgate. I don't mind paying for quality, however, I think it is a tad outrageous to charge customers $12 for two eggs on toast or $23 for smashed avocado which came with two eggs. Getting over the initial shock, we queued up to order. It was the longest wait for the amount of people in the line. Not sure why the staff taking the orders was so slow. It became apparent that a second staff was needed. Food came intermittently, which is understandable as we didn't order together. Having said that, one of the ladies who ordered first had to wait till everyone received their food before hers came. Hangry would aptly described her emotions. The food was delicious! I had the croque monsieur. Never heard of it before, I took a gamble and was pleasantly surprised. Other dishes included a little of a lot, smashed avocado, mushrooms on toast and the Frederick special. Really glad we stopped here for brunch. It is definitely popular. Of course I had to give it a try! I chose to celebrate my birthday here with a couple of close friends. It is very 2013 local business - no website (only a Facebook page), no phone number, no bookings and no credit cards. I inquired via Facebook about bookings and they got back to me quickly with a friendly note saying they don't take bookings but there shouldn't be any problem with the time proposed and number of people. We got there a bit early just in case and the rush hit shortly after that. Nevertheless, there was no problem with the table, not even when friends arrived bearing large gifts. The place provides a light and open and friendly setting. Coffees were very good. The guys who ran it made a great effort with service and were very generous when one breakfast came a bit later than the others by bring us one of their homemade delicious doughnuts on the house. The breakfasts were also very good. The friend who always orders French toast tried, you guessed it, the french toast. This variety was served with poached pears and persimmons and generously covered with home made lemon curd. The lemon curd was excellent! I had the poached egg in tomato on toast with minestra (this version being a mix of sauteed greens with cannellini beans. Very yummy and generous sized serve. The other two guests both had the poached eggs on toast with peperonata and pancetta. The peperonata was extremely tasty. And I couldn't go past the salted caramel brownie to take home for later. This is a business that is new and local. It has a bit of growing to do, but a lot of potential. The front of house guy is great but seems a bit stressed. The food is great. Inside, bright boxes and casks line the walls, bottles like jewels fill frosty fridges. This particular drive thru is the same as most, a little smaller than some others. The staff are always friendly and helpful. And you can become a member! If you sign up, they can send you via sms any good deals on beer and wine they have that week. Often there are really worthwhile specials.
