I chose University Place Dental. The hygienist was very nice. I was pleased with her work. After x-rays were taken, the dentist told me I had 10 teeth that needed to have work done and sent me home with a $10,000.00 treatment plan. I immediately consulted my own dentist, who disagreed with University dental. I've since consulted a second dentist in this area, who also told me my teeth are doing well and no work is needed. I feel compelled to add to this review after seeing another dentist yesterday, a year after my visit at University Place Dental. I left my appt with rave reviews. The dentist told me I have beautiful teeth, in great condition! No cavities...no work needed! 3/2024 - As follow up to my first appt in the summer of 2021 and the above review, I had yet another excellent check up with my dentist last week. My dentist told me my teeth are in excellent shape --- no cavities; no work needed. It is very interesting that this clinic and the dentist that saw me three years ago, gave a diagnosis that was so far fetched from accurate. Perhaps the dentist should go back to dental school or take an ethics course or two. This clinic might also benefit from additional training, as they hired and allowed this dentist to practice with such careless disregard for the patient.

Had an absolutely wonderful visit to Massie Dental!…read more Let me preface this review by saying that my previous dental visit (at another local office) did not go well at all - I had gone in for what was a routine cleaning (my first at that particular office) and left 5 hours later being told my wisdom teeth needed out immediately, I had two cavities on said wisdom teeth, and had undergone a deep-gum cleaning of my entire mouth which cost me around $1100 out of pocket. So I was a bit hesitant to visit the dentist again. I decided to try somewhere else, and I was highly recommended to Dr. Massie's practice. Everything about my visit to Dr. Massie's office was significantly better. They really make you feel comfortable there. I appreciated Dr. Massie coming in and explaining everything after an exam from the hygienist, as well as answering some questions I had. He took his time and didn't feel rushed at all. After that, I had my cleaning from the hygienist, which while is never the most truly pleasant thing, was comfortable and super easy to get through. I have recommended this practice to multiple people thus far and will continue to do so, simply because I was so impressed and happy with my visit.

I asked for this but according to the office secretory, Dr. Burton would not allow it. I expected a brief conversation with him about my expectations for outcome including what depth of treatment I am willing to undergo. After a preliminary discussion such as this, I may have decided to give more thought to the process before deciding to go forward, or I may have decided to keep my oral condition as is (which would not require CT imaging). Plus, I could get an idea of his "bed side manner" so to speak. I now know.

When she started experiencing pain, her oncologist at SIH recommended this office. When I called, they weren't interested. They said they could hardly remember SIH. They clearly saw an emergency referral coming and wanted no part of it. They finally admitted they sometimes accepted SIH referrals but only from dentists (SIH is a healthcare chain that owns hospitals - they have zero dentists so...). When we told the office manager my wife had called dentists and they all referred us to an oral surgeon, they basically said, "well, we can't even see you until January or later maybe..." Finally, when I asked what to do as the hospital thought this was an emergency, they said, "Well, I'm not making an appointment for you HERE!" - and they transferred the call to a blank line. I stayed on hold for 20-30 minutes before the line disconnected and I realized the joke was on me and my wife, and we were already functionally disconnected. I understand that emergency referrals are a real hassle for offices and I'm sympathetic. But this wasn't cosmetic surgery or a sore tooth and "no room at the inn" is a pretty dire solution when a life is perhaps at stake. And disconnecting me, especially in a way that left me on hold and hoping for 20-30 minutes was uncalled for. Caveat emptor!

Back on 10/04/2023 I was called and told there was a new balance so I requested a bill be sent to me with new balance. Never received it till today and had to request an itemized bill again! While waiting for the information one of the office workers had her baby sitting on her desk feeding her child. Car seat is in the middle of the floor behind front desk. Coat and purse has been thrown on an empty office chair. Maybe if the office staff was doing the job they are getting paid for everything would be a lot more organized and professional. The person I requested information from is trying to get it done but is having to go to the person feeding their child...does anyone know how to do the job they are being paid for?? I thought I was in a daycare maybe hair or nail salon not a professional medical office! Now that I have a bill I will be paying it then they will give me MY records! I wish Dr. Harpreet and her medical staff had the office support they deserve, professional, patient and friendly.

I've had previously had my teeth cleaned at their office by a dental hygienist, but this was the first time I had services from Dr. Fredrickson, himself. All of the staff are very friendly, which is a plus, of course, but I was so impressed with the whole tooth filling process. I hardly was seated in the waiting room before they called me in to start my work. Everything was painless, well timed, and done with precision. Dr. Fredrickson, and the dental assistant worked seamlessly together, so my appointment took hardly any time at all. And I'm totally impressed that even with it being a brand new filling, I can run my tongue over any of my teeth and not be able to find the one that was filled. There are no rough edges or excessive filling material or anything but a slick, good feeling tooth - and it feels perfect when I bite down or chew. I would certainly recommend their office and Dr. Fredrickson, to anyone looking to find a good dental group/program.
