I met Dan at my favorite cafe, Mokabe's on Grand. I just wanted to start the search and see if it was possible to purchase a home within my financial means and area. He spent time talking about the process and provided a folder with good information in it. Set up access to Marix portal and we discussed the areas and price range. This portal made looking at homes a breeze!! Emails with any new homes and price changes. I could go through and trash the ones that were definite nooo, Like some and love others. I could make notes on them and Dan would respond to it. We looked at a few places and he gave his honest option, which was extremely helpful because I have only lived in the area for a year and he has SOOO MUCH KNOWLEDGE! One Saturday we went to look at a planned home and I sprung up another I wanted to see that day that I had just been emailed about. The first home was not as pictured and had major issues. We headed over to the second home and we were both impressed with the value of the home and the price point. He told me it had another showing and would go quickly so if I wanted to make an offer it needed to be soon. Gave me the day to think. This was all very fast compared to time frame I was expecting to have this goal achieved. He was understanding and helpful during my world wind of emotions I encountered. I put an offer in!! Jumped!! Dan provided all the information for me to complete everything. I used his referrals on it all. Lender, inspections, title company. Dan was fabulous with emailing me deadlines I needed to complete things by. I have never purchased a home and it was helpful to have all this available and make the moves. Christy, who helps with the closing process was beneficial to correspond with during this. Everyone he recommended was great! This process has gone so unbelievably smooth. Before closing, Dan had my inspector come back in to evaluate that all the changes requested and agreed upon were completed to the inspectors and my liking. Dan and I completed a final walk through and noticed a few things that needed cleaned up. Before my closing appointment Dan went to the home and took pictures for me to see that it had been completed before I signed documents. Dan provided a wonderful gift for closing! He is an amazing realtor and advise you to definitely utilize this man for all your realty needs. After closing, I discovered my brand new fridge/freezer were not operating properly. Dan has been helpful in making sure I got a loaner fridge. It was supplied by Home Depot, but if that had not been arranged by the company I purchased the home from, Dan was going to get a small one for me to use until parts came in. He understood the challenge it was to maintain food and was supportive through the entire thing. Dan did not need to do that. He EXCELS as a realtor and as a person! I most recently accompanied my boyfriend, a UK native, on his experience as a first time homebuyer here in Saint Louis. Initially we scoured the Internet and after spotting an open house of interest, we saw the property and fell, albeit naively, in love with the house. Upon receiving some advice from my stepfather who is a multiple homebuyer, we decided to contact a realtor to not only get an educated opinion of the home, but to eventually guide us through the very new to us process of securing it's purchase. To my great fortune, I read a series of positive reviews on a realtor in our area by the name of Dan Brassil. Employing him as our realtor was the best decision we could have made as first time homebuyers. Dan could have easily sold us on the first home we fell in love with & made his cut of the sale in quick order. Instead, he gave us an excellent unbiased and educated opinion of the home, pointing out both its strengths and weaknesses. Importantly, he noted that the original wood siding on the home had many layers of paint and due to its deteriorating condition, would likely need to be replaced before we turned around to sell the home in 4 years time. After deciding against the purchase of the initial home we looked at, Dan astutely guided us through the search for other properties to consider. He was always quick to reply on any questions/concerns we had on homes of interest on the site & would go out of his way to quickly setup a viewing of a home we wanted to take a look at. Once we decided on the house we would eventually call home, he made the process of buying that house effortless. Believe the reviews! Dan is arguably the best realtor in St.Louis, MO. After reading the reviews, I called him to explain that I was no longer living in St.Louis (I relocated to Los Angeles, CA) and needed help selling my downtown condo. The idea of doing this outside of the state was so daunting for me. Not for Dan. He was very detailed in explaining how he did things and after one phone call left me with no question about working with him. Although we were conducting business via phone and email I never felt out of the loop or uninformed about any part of the sell throughout the entire process. He knew how to price my condo so I didn't feel like I was losing and he was very knowledgeable about the market and comparable prices. This was the first piece of property I ever sold and so after we found a buyer the questions began to pile up for me. Dan answered all of them and continued to encourage me to ask about anything that was unclear. That was important to me as I did not want to feel like a bother but didn't want to proceed without being sure of what I was signing and so forth. I highly recommend working with Dan. My husband and I were first-time home buyers. We aren't from St. Louis and are very cautious when it comes to finances. I talked with multiple realtors prior to Dan and didn't feel comfortable, but Dan's style and expertise was a great fit for us. Dan is AMAZING. I was preparing to sell my house to move overseas, and I wanted the house to be in the best shape possible to sell as quickly as possible. Dan sold a friend's house which was *problematic* and I knew how good he was with that sale. Friends, he was amazing. He knows the market, the neighborhood, but also had strong connections with many different service providers like roofers, tuckpointers, flooring, general contractors...we got so much work done affordably and well in a short time so that when my house was listed, BOOM she went fast and well. I was so stressed during that time, and Dan was incredibly responsive and flexible to my needing him to drive the bus, metaphorically, when I couldn't be available to meet with a contractor or to even make a phone call. When one of the contractors was problematic, Dan was patient but firm with them, and they completed the work satisfactorily. I am SO glad I found Dan to use as my realtor!! He was wonderful and never pushy... I never felt like he was just trying to push a sale and close a deal.
