Bill is just a very likeable guy. All that being said, what you want in a mortgage broker isn't likeability, though that doesn't hurt. What you want is somebody who knows the market, will be honest with you about what you can afford, will let you know when it's a good time to refinance and tell you frankly when it isn't, and is readily accessible by phone and email. You want somebody you can trust as you enter into probably the largest purchase of your life. Bill has been all those things for us through a home purchase and multiple refinances--plus he runs a truly local business. And crunches numbers with alacrity!

From the beginning, Pete was confident, positive and motivated! He promised that he would have multiple offers for us to consider and he was as good as his word. Pete was nothing short of a miracle worker! Not only did we have many offers and back-up offers, he was able to secure an all-cash deal with a ten-day escrow, making this process as painless as it could possibly be. I have no hesitation giving Pete my highest possible recommendation and plan to use him for all my future real estate transactions.

We did not have a huge amount for a down payment. We were on a very limited time frame. The loan we needed was a non conventional loan. We had so many road blocks, but Pete never gave up. He worked for us day and night and kept us in the loop. He guided us on how to repair our credit rapidly. This seemed like an impossible dream and yet Pete made it happen even when we wanted to throw in the towel. If you need someone to make it happen for you, then Pete is the guy. Honestly, this was probably the hardest loan to secure and he did it. Thank goodness! Julie

Al assisted us in getting a 15-year mortgage at a very good interest rate of 3-1/8%. That property has become the start of an equity-building program. Although we're now living in Southern California, and we continue to acquire properties in this region, we continue to rely upon Al and his team at Eagle Bay Mortgage because we appreciate their service. In the hottest seller's market in decades, Robert got us a house we loved. The details are…read moreremarkable: we actually lost the bidding war, but Robert made us fill out a back-up offer, even though at the time he agreed it was almost pointless because no one would give up a house in this market when they had put in the winning bid. But rare things do occur: the winners backed out and we were suddenly in first position because of that back-up offer. Sensing that sellers would not want to have a second offer fall through (which would require a return to the market), Robert negotiated a new *lower* price for the house--despite our initial apprehensions. And sure enough, he got us a better number. But long before this success, Robert had impressed us. When my wife and I would go to open houses and the agent there would ask us who our agent was, the reply of "Robert Ramirez" would often evoke "We love Robert!" or "You have one of the best agents around." Everyone we spoke with told us how much they liked Robert. And this is important--an agent who is liked and trusted by other agents is able to help much more than one who is not trusted. Add to this Robert's 40+ years of selling homes in Petaluma and you're going to eventually find success with him like we did. One final note: no matter how busy Robert was (including a week when he was on vacation in Hawaii), he always answered the phone and our emails promptly. If he couldn't talk right away, he called us back shortly after. There was not a single day in our long search when we were unsure about something because Robert had not gotten back to us. He really, truly cares about doing things right.
