Eureka! I've found a great coffee shop in Binghamton!…read more Laveggio certainly lived up to the reviews. Inviting space (how have they resisted adding seating to the ample room), minimalist decor (maybe some local artists could brighten up the open walls), terrific chairs, and last-terrific coffee! Maybe the best cappuccino I've ever had, and blue eyes loved her caffe mocha. Not the slightest bitterness in either, just deep coffee flavor. The staff was pleasant too. The only complaint is that parking can be an issue, but that's not Laveggio's fault, is it? Highly recommended.

Another thing that annoyed me is that the garbage can is exactly where you stand to pick up your drinks. They need to figure out a new spot for it because it's inconveniently placed. Their drinks are also way over priced. My husband had a macchiato and I had the peanut butter chocolate smoothie... disgusting for $7+. It didn't taste like peanut butter nor did it taste like chocolate , it was earthy and indigestible and got me sick. They use organic ingredients (including organic flavor shots, which is rare in my experience) and get their food from local vendors. They also have kombucha on tap, although I didn't try any. A few other valuable things they get right: 1. They have gender neutral restrooms. 2. They use ecoproducts. The lids are 25% post-consumer recycled content and the cup is compostable. 3. They do not automatically give you a lid if you get your coffee to go, which saves waste. In conclusion, I definitely appreciated this place. To give one recommendation to the owners: I would love if there were bins for trash, plastic recycling, and compost. I looked around but I only saw trash bins and it would have been very nice to be able to compost my cup. Other than that, a great stop!

The staff (a crew of young females) were always delightful - no matter how slammed the place was getting or how insane the orders they had to fill happened to be. If you know La Colombe (PA born and bred!) - you know they're serious about coffee and every cup we got while staying in the resort (Americano to cappuccino to drip to cold/canned) was stellar. We tried a handful of their snacks and treats (from muffins to croissants) - one was better than the next. No, not cheap - but when it's this good you don't mind (as much) paying for it.
