Somehow, they managed to find us a table, and later even helped us move closer to the window when one opened up. I was mainly here for the coffee. The food was solid, not mind-blowing but enjoyable. One small thing that caught my attention was the bathroom tipping system, which was a bit confusing at first, but it seems to be a norm in this area, so I can't really fault the café for that. Overall, it's the kind of place I'd come back to for a relaxing coffee break with a view. The atmosphere, jazz music, service, view, and setting all make it a lovely spot to unwind and slow down.

Cozy and charming, it offers breakfast platters from different cultures, with plenty of German specialties. On our second day in Munich, I brought my wife here for a European breakfast--she chose the set platter with a bread basket, while I went with classic Bavarian white sausage and pretzel, plus two eggs for a distinctly American touch. It felt like a scene out of Seinfeld--the German twist on "no soup for you" applies to reservations, so be sure to make one! The prices are moderate, the view is stunning, and the food is simply delicious.

The sausage is something that I assumed would be bland, but even without the Händlmaier's handmade mustard, it was a delicious bite. Mild, but delicious. The mustard was a surprise because it was sweet; I think it could've been best served with a hint of heat, but it was a nice experience because it was a novel one.
