Then when we got on…read morethe boat, the back door kept swinging open and kept getting water into the boat wetting all our bags. The back ladder only had one step making it very difficult to get back on the boat from the water. 2 hours into our 3 hour reservation, the boat fell apart and got submerged in water so much that other boats filled with kind strangers had to come and help us just to get back to shore. While the other 2 boats from kind strangers that had been kind enough to help us safely got us back to shore, Mike, the owner showed no compassion for the situation they put us in. We will never use this company again and would never recommend them to anyone else in fear of you risking your life.

I confirmed the time w/ them and they were supposed to send me the address - I followed up again the night before for the address to meet and the company texted me the address the night before at 1:45AM IN THE MORNING! Talk about unprofessional. The guy is careless. That morning the company asked if we were still on they never heard from me??? I said yes I was sleeping when I received a text of the address and we are a few min away....they advised well they didn't know if I was confirmed so will be there in 20 min..... No communication, lack of customer service and WORST Part - LEFT ME & MY HUSBAND WAITING AT THE LOCATION ALMOST A HOUR PAST OUR APPOINTMENT TIME AND DIDNT SHOW UP OR ANSWER PHONE CALLS OR TEXTS!!! Not even a apology, status update, NOTHING!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I had to get a full refund on Groupon and unfortunately ruined our plans of jet skiing that day for his birthday! Horrible experience and I hope no one else has to experience this.

We wanted to do something fun with the kids. We originally planned to rent from another business…read morebut they didn't do rentals because of the lake flooding. They recommended we try Sam's Dock. The hours of the business say they close at 8 pm. No where on their site or at their location do they state the last rental was at 6 pm. We arrived at 6:02 and the woman wouldn't rent a jet ski to us. It was disappointing for the kids but we decided to return the next day. We arrived with plenty of time to rent a jet ski. There were 5 of us but it turns out we can't rent a jet ski for 3. Because of this, we didn't want to leave one child alone at the dock so we opted to rent one jet ski and my husband took the kids out to the lake one at a time. We sat at the restaurant, which was closed, in between the kids' turns. The minimum rental is 2 hours on the jet skis and you have to pay for gas on top of the rental fee. This was a surprise to us. We ended up having to pay an extra $50+ for the gas for 2 hours. Just be aware of that. This side of the lake there wasn't any parking fee so that was good. I think they provided us with a military discount, which was great. My husband mentioned the young man didn't know how to use the point of sale computers either. It took at least 30 minutes to check in and pay before getting on the jet ski so make sure to factor in that your timing.

So they give us some pontoon boat that is in horrible shape literally falling apart and in disrepair. It had dozens of big cockroaches come out of the well, the fender was literally falling off of it and needing screwed back in. Also there were very dangerous screws hanging off it that someone could have easily ended up in the hospital over. What's worse is the young dark haired kid that receives the boats back in was rude and when we wanted to bring up these safety issues when returning the boat not only did not care to listen was rude and walked off while trying to explain the safety issues on the boat we had rented. Simply did not care About safety of their future guests. Did not have the time or customer service skills and did not take the safety seriously literally walked off while we were trying to explain the issues with the boat. Because of that last one. The safety issue, and because of the roach infestation, we cannot recommend this boat rental or marina. Roach infestations And lack of focus on safety are both showstoppers.
