Dr. Lei is great! Kind, patient and thorough. I left relieved and encouraged. I waited for a little while to receive forms to fill out as no one was in the front. Once I received the forms and filled them out my wait time was very minimal, maybe 5 minutes. I had a 1:00pm appointment. The visit got progressively better with the medical assistant, Dr. Lei and a kind woman at check out. My appointment was during the COVID pandemic so I had to wear a mask upon entrance and during the whole visit because of their requirements. I was totally okay with that. Everyone in the office had masks and gloves on the whole visit. No reason(s) to take off a star(s). I will return for frequent check-ups. read more

I am writing this review to strongly warn others about the disorganized administrative practices, lack of cost transparency, and frustrating billing handling at this office. If you choose to visit this practice, please watch your bank statements and insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) closely. My negative experience spans from the front desk to the medical chair: Administrative Incompetence: Upon arrival, I provided the receptionist with my legal name change. She completely failed to update it in their system. This simple mistake caused a massive domino effect, making it incredibly difficult for their third-party billing company to find my records later. Rushed and Uncoordinated Care: I waited 30 minutes in the lobby, and once in the examination room, the doctor actually left mid-visit to attend to another patient. Ultimately, 9 moles were biopsied. Thankfully, all came back benign, but they are healing very poorly and are incredibly painful. I now heavily question if all 9 were even medically necessary. Predatory Cost Transparency: When I asked about the skin tags on my neckline, the doctor immediately went into removing them without providing any warning about out-of-pocket costs or whether it would be covered by insurance. The Checkout Shock: At checkout, the receptionist spent 7 minutes typing silently before demanding a whopping $490 out of pocket. Thinking it was a required deposit or copay, I paid it. When I requested an itemized statement, I was told I had to call back in 3 days. The Billing Nightmare: My insurance EOB later revealed that my true patient responsibility for this visit was $0. The office billed my insurance $1,404, and my insurance paid them nearly $900 just three days after my visit. Yet, when I called the office's third-party billing company, they refused to give me an itemized statement and told me to call back at the end of the month. I called back a second time weeks later and spent 34 agonizing minutes on the phone. Because the front desk never updated my name change, it took them 11 minutes just to find me. I then found out they hadn't even applied my $490 credit card payment to my account! It took the representative another 19 minutes just to apply the payment I already made, and I was told it would take yet another 3 to 5 business days just to receive an email with my itemized statement. This office is holding onto money they are not legally owed based on my insurance contract. Staying on top of them is a part-time job. I will never set foot in this practice again. Beware--if you do not meticulously track your insurance EOBs against what this office charges you at the counter, you may be scammed out of hundreds of dollars that you will have a miserable time trying to get back. read more

This place is not good. A few years back I bought a skin pen package here and over all the treatments you're supposed to see changes after 3 or so. When I voiced my complaints of no changes and tried to show her on my camera where i had the most concern she told me that I should probably stop taking photos at that angle. I LOVE, LOVE Dr. Crawford, but as others have mentioned (wish I have read reviews first), the office staff are incompetent and I am being polite. I put specifics in my google review if you want read the specifics of my situation, but basically, I have now talked to 7 different people (which felt like dealing with the three stooges) who could never figure out their own computer software systems and as much as I love Dr. Crawford---it isn't worth it. This review is regarding a cosmetic procedure scheduled with Sarah. When I called to schedule my appointment for BBL I was told I needed a referral or a consult. I had just seen Dr Singer and she was aware I needed this so I said okay I can get a referral no problem. I called and left a message for Dr Singer's assistant to get the referral and my call was returned 24'hours later. At which time she stated no you don't need a referral, I've never heard of that; I will make notes on your account. So I call back and speak to Hana who says no you need one and there are no notes on your account. So, now I have to call the assistant back again after going through the whole "HOLD" choose "1" etc for the fifth time. I leave another message and she calls and says she definitely has notes on the account and Dr Singer left them as well. Now, while I'm on the phone with the assistant Hana calls back and says I spoke to the Doctor and you will need a consultation. I tell her I'm on the other line speaking to Dr Singer's assistant and she says check for the notes on the account. Hana says she will call me back. She calls back and says okay I can get you scheduled. Today is my appointment. At 12:00 I get a call that asks if I can come in early because Sarah has an opening. I said no I'm at work right now I will be there at the scheduled time. Forty five minutes before my appointment I get a text from Sarah canceling my appointment. Do not TRY to schedule an appointment here! What a bunch of idiots. I normally go to another location for my cosmetic needs but wanted to try here because I love Dr Singer. What a big MISTAKE!!!! The billing department is incompetent and makes going to this place less than desirable. If you like paying at time of service and then getting a bill sent to you a week or so later (for the same amount), this is the place to go. If this is done 3 times, it is a sign of chronic incompetence and it's time to fire the service provider and find another place. I am really upset that they billed me $170 in the office, $1500 for testing, and $520 for the office visit 5 months after my visit. I was shocked and get a pit in my stomach even thinking about this place since no one warned me how much it would be for just 20 minutes with the doctor. I called twice to dispute it with no luck. It's obscene and wrong. I'll never come back which is a shame since I recommend so many people here and really loved Dr. Delorimier. She is the only reason I didn't give one star. I went here for several years. A red bump came up on my nose that wouldn't go away and eventually began bleeding. I specifically asked if it could be basal cell carcinoma (it's in my family) and was assured multiple times it was not. As I was only 35 years old (and a woman), that was a relief, no one wants cancer anywhere let alone in the middle of her face. However, my Botox PA kept insisting biopsy. I went back to this practice, and my doctor had retired, so I saw another dermatologist who also insisted it wasn't basal cell but did agree to freeze it off. It never healed...18 months later after getting the biopsy done with my PA who does my Botox, I was diagnosed with nodular basal cell carcinoma. The thing is, it was bleeding, which every dermatologist since says "if it bleeds, we biopsy." I dealt with this bleeding scab in the middle of my face for a year and a half and THEN had to deal with the Mohs and recovery. It should've been caught much earlier and at least mitigated the year and a half of dealing with a nose scab. Thank goodness it wasn't a kind of skin cancer that can kill you, but it does make me wonder if my scar could've been smaller if caught earlier. It's just disappointing because now my trust in doctors is shaky. My mom died of a cancer because the doctor assured her it wasn't cancer until it was too late so the PTSD is very real for me. Very nice people, but I wouldn't trust them. If it bleeds, biopsy! Don't let them tell you otherwise. read more

After scheduling with the secretary, Dallas Associated Dermatologists Irving confirmed my daughter's appointment, then texted a need to reschedule, then texted five different times sent from two office phone numbers confirming our appointment. The latest confirmation reminder text was sent to us this morning. When we arrived today at 3p for the appointment, the receptionist rudely told us that we did not have an appointment. Furthermore, because we did not respond to the cancellation text, the appointment was canceled instead of rescheduled. I told her about how we had received very mixed text messages and assumed there was some error on their side. I then showed her the five different messages on my phone confirming today's appointment and she offered no explanation or apology. Supposedly the office manager was out of the office and unable to speak with us. No doctor was able to squeeze my daughter in despite the fact that both my daughter and I had taken off work to make this appointment. The receptionist's treatment was insulting, unhelpful, and rude. No apologies were offered despite the electronic proof that the error was theirs. I would not recommend this group. read more

I am a white chick, as you can see by my profile pics. And, as many other white chicks, I always wanted a beautiful tan. We always want what we can't have, right? I grew up in Indiana. and as soon as the outside thermometer hit 60 degrees and it was sunny, I was high-tailing to the back yard. Slather on the baby oil, throw lemon juice in my hair, and roast in the sun for hours. At the time, I looked pretty fricken good with my dark tan. Throughout college, the tanning salons were my second home. Bake in the tanning bed, walk out with some color and that funky tanning bed smell.What ever was that odor?? Fast forward to 2017. I think back to when people would tell me not to scald my skin so much in the sun. I didn't care, I looked GOOD! Well, hell. My skin doesn't look good now. I am definitely paying the price. Due to all of the sun worshipping in my past, my skin has been ravaged by all of that damage I did. Stupid, stupid me. I have several areas now that are deemed "pre-cancerous." Hearing those words has really scared me, and pissed me off at myself. Dr. Sears at the clinic is nothing short of wonderful. She is very down to earth and has a way of putting you at ease. She doesn't lecture me about my years of screwing up my skin. She is very thorough with her exam and is a straight shooter. "Keep an eye on this spot" and "We need to get this treated soon." She is not out for money because she will have the staff find out which treatments are covered by my insurance and will eliminate options that it are not covered. I have had the PDT treatment done twice so far at the adjoining clinic. Let me tell you , it is not a pleasant treatment. The staff applies a cream that stings-this stays on for an hour. Thankfully the staff is beyond nice and helpful. After the hour, the treatment is started with a type of laser gun which looks similar to the guns used at Target registers. A fan is placed right by my head because the treatment really burns. I mean, REALLY burns. Like the most horrible sunburn ever. All during the process, the employees will talk to keep my mind off of the pain and will keep asking if I am ok. They even get me laughing, believe it or not! Once that is over, and I have cussed myself out royally for causing this in the first place, the cream is gently wiped off and ice-cold wet cloths are applied. It is like you can hear the skin sizzle. AHH, relief. After the treatment, I have to become a vampire and avoid sunlight for 48 hours. Yep- I did this to myself, now I am paying the price. My fault, I know. The whole point of my rambling? First, don't worry about if you are pale. If you want some color, use the spray tans. If you have already done the damage, go to Dallas Associated Dermatology. They knew their stuff and are very kind. If your skin doesn't look right or if spots don't heal (especially your face, neck and chest) please get them examined. You can never be too careful. read more

Calls are not returned and no one ever answers my calls. It seems calls are routed from some place else. This review is for the COSMETIC side of this practice. I started going to DADs at their royal lane location in Dallas but it was always so busy I couldn't get it. I switched to this location and I couldn't be happier! It so easy to get an appointment and I love that they are right off the 161. You literally hop right off the freeway and you're there! They have ample parking and the building its located in is newer and well maintained. I also find the service at this location a little more personalized and a bit more focused. They are always so busy at the other location, I always felt a little rushed. Not so here. The staff is friendly and they move at a normal pace. I never feel rushed. I have had great results visiting this location and will continue to visit. Highly recommended. read more

This group is rude and unprofessional. I made an appointment three weeks out, talked to the billing person at their office, and took off work for the appointment. When I made the appointment, I was assured that the doctor took my insurance. They called me the night before my appointment with mere hours of notice and said that the doctor decided not to take my insurance anymore. They were extremely rude about it, and could care less that they told me they took it before, and could care less that I have a spot of concern and have waited three weeks for treatment around their schedule. They were only nice when they told me I was welcome to pay cash, which was absolutely outrageously priced. I talked to my insurance to verify that they are indeed under contract with them, and just simply refusing to honor their contract. So my insurance company is now investigating them for breach of contract. Do NOT recommend this shady rude practice group!!! read more

I literally have dozens of Dermatologists within a 10 minute drive from me, but I drive 22 miles from Frisco knowing I will get the best care from him! I've been living in Plano about 1.5 years now and have seen Dr. Singer 3 times for regular skin checks due to a history of cancer. She's nice and informative but i can't help but feel they're unnecessarily taking random slightly irregular mole samples for the sake of making $$. They charge anywhere from $250-$450 every time ago and say "they've run my benefits and assessed patient responsibility." The scheduler/payment taker at the end of my visit this previous time was extremely snotty and rude after I told her that my insurance company is months behind on processing claims which they don't take into consideration. That means i could have met my deductible and even my max out of pocket expenses but she obviously wouldn't know about that yet. So i've been overcharged bigtime 3 times now for all 3 visits. The most previous time i refused to pay. I believe the total they tried to charge was around $250 this time and I ended up receiving a bill for around $80. Absolutely ridiculous. My previous dermatology group in Austin understood this and furthermore wouldn't just slice off random moles every single time I went. Will likely be looking for a new dermatologist. read more

The doctor and nurse I saw were nice and friendly. However, things were not disclosed during my visit about was or wasn't covered by my insurance. Due to this the lady at the front asked me for almost $300 upon leaving with me only thinking I'd pay my copay. I contacted the office for an explanation and its been a week with nobody getting back. I also found out something the doctor did was not covered by my insurance and nobody told me that. Even though the doctor himself apparently took my insurance. Me and my daughter have been going here for laser treatments for over a year. Today I get a call that the price has increased 75 percent for a touch up. We had a contract and now a new company took over a YEAR AGO and now changes are being made. So no matter if you were already getting services they are not honoring the previous agreement. The treatment is not even working on my daughter to charge that amount. Very disappointed in their service. Ideal image is cheaper for touch ups. read more
