First, the restaurant came recommended from our Airbnb host who was born and raised in Italy, so her thumbs up on this Italian restaurant must be something really authentic. Second, the nonna running the restaurant was super sweet! She ended up opening the restaurant a full half hour early for us as we needed to get on the road back to the airport, so she was very generous to get us a meal before we headed out of Tulum. This was the perfect way to close our time in Tulum as this food was beyond delicious. Wow. This homemade pasta was divine. What she does with ravioli is unreal. We had the beet ravioli with mushroom sauce and the spinach ricotta ravioli with marinara and both were great. The beet one though was the true standout. It was something very unique and her flavors were so well composed. You have to go here on a visit to Tulum. The food is so fresh and clearly made with a lot of love. read more
