A hidden gem in Chinatown, right across from Antwerp's Centraal station. We ordered the Malaysian shrimp noodle soup and mixed meat plate (choice of 2). The noodle soup was delicious and had a strong satay shrimp flavor, and the plate gave a large portion of rice with a side of veggies. Highly HIGHLY suggest getting roast duck and char siu (bbq pork). The staff were friendly and will come over to serve you, which isn't common in Europe. It's a fairly small shop so I would suggest going with a more intimate group. read more

Was surprised by how authentic and meaty the roast duck was. We also got the seasonal stir fried vegetable, on choy aka water spinach, which was cooked very well. The beef fried rice was made in an American Chinese style so if you have people in your group who like that, everyone will be satisfied! This tiny little place was a great find. Every meal we have here is consistently delicious and their service is always quick and lovely. A bit on the 4 star side though with the nice and friendly service, good food (or perhaps we were quite hungry) they have earned an extra star. :-) Their menu is much shorter than the previous 2 Chinese restaurants that we visited though it should be enough variety for 2 main types: noodle soup or stir fried noodles. read more

Da Jie Le is a small rice and noodle house in Chinatown, just northwest of the Pagoda Gate. While many other restaurants on the street were closed at dusk, this restaurant was open for business. The dishes are simple: rice or noodles, meat and vegetables. Authentic Chinese cuisine, for people tired of European cuisine while in Antwerp. Prices seem lower than other restaurants in Chinatown.
