Two of my kids are twins and we went through some fairly intense issues. Through all of this, the entire Commonwealth team was amazing! Not once did I feel not properly taken care of or treated less than with exceeding warmth and care. With the twins, I had a procedure scheduled, but my husband had to take one of my other kids to the ER, so I was on my own and scared witless. Dr Leigh, heavily pregnant herself, and in between deliveries on the wards, held my hand through the whole thing. I can't say enough good things about the whole crew at Commonwealth OB-GYN.

After the pap she started to remove my gown from my top half without explaining what she was doing, and also started the pelvic exam without warning or checking in with me. I found the pelvic exam to be very uncomfortable and even a little painful and I felt that she was being very rushed and rough with me. Her bedside manner was not very good and to me she came off as unfriendly. Overall, it was an unpleasant first gyno experience and I will certainly not be seeing Dr. Baker again. The front desk staff were friendly but I really couldn't leave fast enough.

The snacks were never restocked, they were dealing with code yellows while understaffed, and when the staff ask to buy new supplies for the kids, its takes so much time to deliver or they just get completely ghosted! Our baby is medically complex and ventilator-dependent. From the moment he arrived, they made unauthorized changes to his trach and vent settings. Nurses admitted to suctioning far beyond the safe depth. The tubing was never replaced during his stay and was full of mucus and visible mold. Alarms went ignored. We found him choking on secretions more than once while staff stood by. They inserted an incorrect feeding tube, gave medications unnecessarily, and failed to send proper documentation when transferring him back to Boston Children's. Even BCH staff were stunned by the state he returned in. This place didn't care. They didn't treat him like a human being. They made him worse. They lied, avoided accountability, and acted like we were the problem for asking questions. I wouldn't trust this place with a houseplant, never mind a child. If you are a parent, please do your research. Franciscan Children's failed our son in every way that matters.

They sent her an email with my information, and told me to expect a response the next day. I never received a response. I called every day for a week asking for an update, and every day the answer was that she hasn't gotten around to her email yet. Eventually, I called another practice that scheduled me *on the spot* for an 8 week ultrasound the following week, and an 11 week in office visit with an award winning highly regarded doctor.

I came here following Yelp advice. I got to say I was…read moredisappointed. Here is why: 1. The doctor spent a total of 5 minutes in the room with me. I felt like she was in a rush to go somewhere else. I felt like she was judgmental when I answered some of her questions and she scolded me. I do not go to the OBGYN to be patronized. I also felt like she refused to answer some of my questions. 2. My pap test was sent to a lab that was not in network with my insurance company resulting in me having to pay for a test that should be covered 100% . I am still fighting this with my insurance company and hope for a good outcome. However, I had NEVER had another doctor send my tests to a lab that is not covered by my insurance and I have had the same insurance for years. If the doctor is taking my insurance, shouldn't she make sure to send the tests to a similar facility? I was never asked if I had any preference on the lab handling my tests. 3. My prescription was incorrectly sent to my pharmacy. This would not be a big deal but my pharmacy is kind of retarded (Express Scripts) and sent the incorrect prescription to me immediately without me having the chance to verify it. The incorrect dosage caused me to end up paying 3 times as much for my medication. In order to correct it, I had to call the doctor's office 2 times to ask them to re submit the prescription. The first lady that I talked to was really mean and refused to send the prescription to me directly, it was not until I called again one week later and talked to someone else that my problem was resolved. Still, I did not need to wait two weeks and spend time making calls back and forth between pharmacy and doctor's office. 4. No parking Validation, I would assume that the office would have some kind of deal with the building but no, 6 dollar parking every time I don't think I am going back to this practice next year. I have had much better experiences elsewhere and I am tempted to make the trip back to Virginia to see my old doctor next year.
