McDonald Carpet One does tile areas too and did our entry area in the 2018 phase with the kitchen floor and new upstairs carpet, 3 bedrooms, a hall and full flight of stairs. That construction had not been level enough for hardwood as the floor joists had to be laid over the very old beams. The tile manufacturer was sold out and redesigning the companion smaller tile so nothing was available to do the fireplace hearth, even if we could have paid for it at the time. Fast forward to this spring and now they did have a companion tile. I'll admit the color lot changed a bit but it is still quite acceptable and looks good with the hardware around the metal fire doors and the decor in the mantle. April, the staff member I had used in the past set it up for us. They do have other staff too and the owner stays close to operations. We have had years of good projects with them so please also read my previous review. I am glad this final renovation to our house is done and glad I could use so many longtime reliable Boulder companies.

They called me back and scheduled a time for me to come back the third time to confirm my glass choice. When I got my shower installed we got the wrong shower handle installed, when I called back to resolve this issue they blamed the error on my husband and I told him that that wasn't the case since I'm the one who picked it out at their showroom. I ended up getting yelled at, which I am still shocked at. They ended up replacing my handle for a $200.00 charge. The glass turned out beautiful and we are happy with it but their service and communication can defiantly be improved.

We stopped in to see if they had carpet padding- to go under my area rugs. Home Depot also has padding, but theirs is lower quality and will flake apart when I cut it to the size of my rugs. Also, the pad they sell here has a layer on top to keep everything together that the other kind I looked at didn't have. It comes in 6' rolls, so for my larger rugs, I'll have to tape them together- which is common practice in the carpet industry apparently. The guy we talked to was super helpful, and even helped us locate the Big R store (across the street) that we were looking for in the first place. For example, I have a pet which makes renting a nice place rather challenging. Steve not only allowed the pet, but worked with me on the pet cleaning deposit. His kindness and flexibility were very much appreciated by me. When I had any concern such as maintenance or a repair, Steve responded immediately and either addressed it himself, or hired someone appropriate to take care of it. He then followed up with me to make sure the issue was properly addressed. Finding a new place to live can be frustrating and stressful. Steve made the process easier and more streamlined than any place else which I have come across in almost 20 years of being a renter.

We saw a house he had advertised for rent and were really excited about it (our current landlord decided to sell our house and not tell us until mid-April that we had to be out by June 1st at the latest). We gave Steve our applications (along with the $70 fee) that same day. My husband was working when my daughters and I saw the house, so I had to wait until a couple of days later to show it to him because he's working 60+ hours a week right now. We were all set and Steve officially offered it to us. The very next day, I got an email stating that our bank had revised our home loan qualifications and we could have a much higher loan that we thought we could, so I immediately went into rush mode (and took off from work, which was unpaid) and investigated which option was best for us -- to rent Steve's house or buy it outright with our loan. Well, come to find out the very next day, Steve said we were "taking too long" to decide our options and he gave the house away to another family. From when I first saw the house until when this happened was ONE WEEK total -- "too long"??? He did this with NO WARNING WHATSOEVER or any mention of a "deadline" for us to decide. He was a real bastard about it. So now I've lost a week of valuable time searching for the right place for my family to live, and I'm back at square one. This guy is greedy, rigid, uncommunicative, inflexible, and a total businessman who sees everything in terms of HIS PROFIT and ONLY his profit. Thanks Steve!!!!!!
