A friend of mine was on the look out for a decent Halloween costume (the theme was under the sea), and they had two entire aisles dedicated to props, costumes and novelties with every little detail to make her costume that much better. It's much better than your average variety store, with organised aisles (where everything is actually hanging and not on the floor), and pieces that you might actually consider buying. There's everything available for hen's night parties, costume parties and kids parties - not to mention the props they have for everything in between. Four stars for the range of products available.

I first discovered the beauty of Daiso traveling through Japan in early 2013. Then I found a Daiso in Los Angeles when I lived in California. Now I found this gem on a stroll to find some dinner. Screw Dollar King, this place has QUALITY made products. Although some things in Daiso are "Made in China", just knowing I bought it from Daiso gives me an overwhelming sense of assurance that it won't fall apart or give me lead poisoning. They have everything from chopsticks to AA batteries, dog costumes to hand warmers, cell phone cases to Christmas decorations. You need it, they got it! Everything is only $2.80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a large kitchen section so pop in for things like ice cube trays and plastic containers. I've managed to tick off some completely left-of-centre items on my to-buy list here, so it's worth a gander.
