The colors of the buildings, the reflections on the water, and the way people move through the space all come together in a way that feels lively and full of energy. I noticed right away that there were a lot of teenagers there, and seeing them taking pictures, laughing with their friends, and exploring the shops made the entire place feel even more youthful and exciting. It is the kind of environment where teenagers can be themselves without feeling judged or rushed, and that adds so much to the overall vibe. One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to enjoy the scenery without needing to spend money. The marina, the boats, the open walkways, and the bright storefronts all felt like natural photo spots. Teenagers were stopping every few steps to take pictures, and it made perfect sense because the whole place looks like it was made for fun moments. The scenery almost feels animated in a way, not because it looks fake, but because the colors and shapes are so bold and cheerful that they stand out in a really playful way. It reminded me of how the props at Funko Hollywood looked so perfect for photos even though they were just meant for fun. Ventura Harbor Village has that same kind of charm where the environment itself becomes part of the entertainment. I also loved how calm and unhurried everything felt. Even with a lot of people around, including groups of teenagers moving from shop to shop, the space never felt crowded or overwhelming. There is something about being near the water that makes the whole experience feel slower and more peaceful. I could take my time walking, looking around, and enjoying the moment without feeling like I needed to rush to the next thing. The sounds of the water, the smell of food from the restaurants, and the warm sunlight all blended together in a way that made the visit feel really refreshing. I have only visited Ventura Harbor Village once before writing this review, but it left a strong impression on me because of how enjoyable and welcoming it felt. It is honestly one of the most playful outdoor places I have been to in a long time, especially because of how many teenagers clearly loved being there. Watching them take pictures, enjoy the scenery, and just have fun made me realize how perfect this location is for them. I would highly recommend that teenagers visit Ventura Harbor Village because it gives them a place to be creative, take fun photos, enjoy the water, and feel free in a positive and uplifting environment. I have lived for 24 years, but I am not physically or mentally 24 years old. In the summertime of 2024, I learned that I am still physically and mentally 18 years old, and I also learned that my prefrontal cortex is far more developed than the average 25 year old. Maybe that is why places like this feel so natural and energizing to me. They match the way I experience the world, with that mix of youthfulness, clarity, and excitement. Ventura Harbor Village fits perfectly into that feeling, and it is a place I would gladly return to because of how much joy it brings to people, especially teenagers who want a fun and welcoming place to spend time.

I often bemoan the lack of gift shops for quality items in Los Angeles. This shop has everything I…read morewould want when searching for the perfect present: Malibu-branded wares, of course, as well as items with the likeness of other L.A. landmarks and institutions. They have upscale varieties of expected souvenir shop items - candles, magnets, postcards, stickers, apparel - as well as sage, body care products, sports equipment (tennis and surfing), and children's gifts (clothes, body products, books). There are dishes, blankets, and gourmet foodstuffs like local wine, jams, and mustards, as well as a caviar fridge with tins of good caviar, lovely pearl spoons, and recipe books. While the prices are high, so is the quality of the merchandise. This is the spot to find a special gift for a loved one, either an out-of-towner or a local - or yourself.

I always find something I love while here but never purchased anything (except something cold to drink) Everything is super expensive. Like a plain "Malibu" shirt is $40 and up, the sweaters are over $140 ... I saw a cute plate for dessert and it was priced at $104 each piece. I know they are imported from France or someplace like that but still. I wonder if they ever sell one. They have candles that smell amazing, cute beach wear, wooden toys, lots of souvenirs. Check it out next time you are at the pier.

What a great little shop in Downtown Ventura! This is one of the many hidden gems on Main Street,…read moreand if you're a local or even just visiting I would really recommend a quick stop in here! I visited on President's Day and it was a tad busy inside the store; but that's to be expected as it was busy everywhere! To be honest, the reason I stopped in here is because I saw the F*R*I*E*N*D*S gear repping Ventura. I will always be a tourist in my town. :) And, could I *be anymore serious? :) Staff was friendly; not too pushy. I loved that the store had a very "open" feeling inside, too. I get frustrated sometimes in stores Downtown that are cramped inside because I am always afraid I am going to knock something over. The souvenirs are really nice and well-made, too. Definitely does *not have the Vegas gift-shop vibe, if that makes sense. These items aren't mass produced...and you can tell. You can tell they mean something, too. I ended up getting a few stickers and a birthday present. I would definitely recommend stopping in here next time you're Downtown.

This shop is not a tourist shop with the same stuff that every other shop has. I was able to find the most unique gifts and could have bought up the whole store. If you're in town, go here!
