The kids will love it, your picky teenage girl will be thrilled, and you will be bathed in the luxury of hours of window shopping, for free. What more could we ask?

Today I ran into SusieCakes and was in there for literally less than five minutes. When I came back out, this was on my windshield. There was a man going down and ticketing every single car there. I pointed to the food, pick up sign in front of my spot and he said that that sign does not apply to the spot I was in and then pointed to a sign further away, saying that you need to pay to park for 90 minutes. I have never paid to park here! I will definitely not be returning to patronize any of the business here going forward!

Lately, the construction has taken away from the experience a bit, but I am hopeful that once it is finished, things will be even better. I just hope the updates are thoughtful and not simply focused on adding more retail, especially in place of something like the movie theater. It would be great to see additions that truly serve and reflect the community. For example, a fountain with a water show, similar to what you see at the Grove or Americana, would be a strong starting point. People and families already feel overwhelmed by the number of shops, and adding more does not necessarily improve the experience. Take Century City Mall as an example. After its remodel (many years ago) added many more stores, I personally stopped going. As someone who works in marketing, I know the first priority is getting people to visit. If visitors lose interest, as I did with Century City, then adding more shops defeats the purpose. I really hope they do not lose sight of what makes the place special. It would be a shame if short-term decisions ended up hurting the atmosphere that people enjoy.

It's a chain but there's others coffee shop cafe in the same strip mall. We just happened to be next to Starbucks. The strip mall is pretty massive with loads of parking. There's Ralph's for groceries and a good selection of restaurants. Kings Fish House, BLVD Steakhouse, Marmalade Cafe, Toscanova, SugarFish to name a few. There's loads of others dining in as well as takeout. There's still a Barnes and Nobles book store which isn't too many left. You have a good amount of shopping. Some higher ends with Zimmerman and Elise Walker. Also Lululemon which is pretty much everywhere. If you're looking for accessories and jewelry, there's a pretty big shop, Polachecks. Home stores with Willam Sonoma. There's pretty much a good selection's of things. Even just a stroll along the walkways. Have a seat on one of the benches, and enjoy the turtles in the pond.

What they don't have enough is parking spots. So know you can always park at the back, there is a big parking lot which is usually empty. I personally do not like to squish too much and reverse my car 10 times to squeeze into a spot. So I make a short circle, and if there is not parking I just park at the back and walk for 2 minutes. I was here today for a hit cut. After spoiled myself with sushi. And at the end got some groceries. Pretty productive.

My favorite stores include - Pop Mart, Box Lunch, Sephora, Bath & Body Works, Miniso, Hot Topic, Hollister, Old Navy, Journey's & Sophi's Cosmetics. It's a smaller mall but it's local & always a solid place for a hang out. There is also many on site restaurants that I enjoy such as Yard House, LongHorn Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen & Red Robins. There is also an Escapology located here outside the mall which is great as an interactive experience. The workers I've encountered here are typically very friendly & the mall is kept very clean.

It's a smaller mall compared to others nearby which tends to have more stores. If I'm here it's for either one or two stores or to just walk around to see what there is available. Mind you it was a holiday and kids are off of school. But to see this place pretty lively was amazing. Each visit, tends to alway be pretty mellow. The stores aren't quite the same as they used to be. Loads of the stores that once thrive have faded away. But something new would takes its place. Hopefully they'll last for some time. I did noticed that the food court does seem to have some interesting vendors. Plus there's a new Panini Cafe at the old Red Robbin's location. It's quite big which I was surprised to see walking in today. They have both an indoor patio as well an outdoor patio. The mall isn't what it used to be. The bigger chain stores have gone or either went out of business. Macys is still there which I'm quite surprised. Regardless, people are still going to be buying whether it be a new store or an old one.

I prefer shopping with individual merchants in my neighborhood. But eventually, we all have to take a trip to the Apple Store, or to a department store. It's inevitable. What I forgot about is how friendly all the merchants are. I parked at the wrong end of the mall and couldn't seem to find my bearing. All I had to do was ask any Merchant and they all directed me with a smile to where I needed to go. Even when I didn't buy anything from them. People were just very accommodating and happy. I guess malls are a happy place. Retail therapy is real. I can't speak much to value, because of course prices range from hide below, depending up on where you're going. I went to Bloomingdale's for lunch and then I went to H&M for jeans. High to low. I must say that everything is so convenient. I picked up things I didn't really intend to because I remember I needed them and I was there. All in all, I would say it was a great experience. I'll probably be going back to the mall again.

This has a very cheap, strip-mall feel. Besides this, it's a mall packed with fantastic restaurants, a CVS, a bank, a dentist, a FedEx, a grocer, and a healthy dessert hotspot.
