My dad and I stopped here for lunch and both enjoyed it. The dining room was clean and spacious. The service was friendly and prompt. Other customers were all local country people and also friendly. The burgers were served quickly, and were fresh, with a hot patty, and fresh veggies, the fries were hot and crisp. No one wore masks, but there was plenty of room for social distancing. She said she would check and disappeared. After yet another number was called and it wasn't us I went to the counter and asked for a refund. I was driving to Lubbock when I decided to stop in Seymour for lunch. I stopped at the Dairy Queen because it was convenient. I believe that this restaurant had a re-opening or something that day. There were flyers and balloons inside and even someone in a cone outfit. There was lots of staff everywhere (behind the counter and cleaning). I went to use the bathroom before I ordered and everything looked new there. I ordered a #1 with a moo-latte for the drink and the food came out after just a few minutes. The burger and fries were hot and freshly made. An employee came by a few minutes later to ask how everything was and in the 30 minutes or so that I was in the restaurant I saw a couple of employees cleaning the tables and checking the floor and trash cans. There are food items on the online menu that aren't available here. Our order was missing onion rings. Employee claimed I never ordered onion rings. I told them it came with the combo. They then said the combo only comes with frawz. I asked them to repeat that. They again said it comes with frawz. I asked what frawz are. They looked at me dumbfounded and said French frawz. OH, FRENCH FRIES! I gave up on challenging them any further with my original order of onion rings and accepted an order of "frawz" instead. Worst DQ in the history of suck...Lazy employees can't put down the pipe long enough to tend the drive thru even when they only have 1 other customer. Food usually is terrible and when you see some of the disgusting POS that work there it will make you think twice about eating anything that comes out of there. Yelp needs an option for zero stars because that is what this place deserves. Stopped here with the family traveling back to Dallas from visiting family over the holidays. No soap in either bathroom. No paper towels in the men's room. No idea how employees wash their hands before they handle your food after they use these nasty bathrooms. Let me start by saying that we didn't even get to taste the food! Arrived at 11:18 on a Monday. Women's restroom had no toilet paper. Ordered food before 11:30 - a hunger buster combo and a steak finger basket - our order # was 10. At 12:02 after they had called up to order # 18 and the guy next to us who had arrived atleast 15 minutes after us received his order of steak fingers, we asked to see the manager. She came from the back clearly ticked off that she had been asked for. We told her our issue and she proceeded to tell us that steak fingers take 20 minutes to cook and that our order was being worked on. We told her 2 orders of steak finger baskets had gone out since we had been there to people that came in after us. She was rude, non apologetic and should not be in a customer service roll anywhere let alone a manager! She offered no solution and clearly made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We told her we wanted a refund and she slammed open the drawer and obliged. I hope that this is not a normal day at the DQ in Seymour but her attitude and representation makes me believe that it is.
