We were on a long road trip and came in 20 minutes before closing. They were very nice and helpful with our order and got it ready in about 8 minutes. We ordered a burger with onion rings, a hot dog, a blizzard, and a dipped cone. Everything tasted great! read more

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Nasty floor - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Chamberlain, South Dakota

This place is straight up garbage. I tried it the first time and ordered a small root beer and a flamethrower burger with fries and gravy. Never got the gravy, the root beer was flat and not even root beer, and when back in to get what I paid for, they walked away from me and ignored me. 2nd time, a few months later and too hangry to drive further away when I'm already in a hurry, I ordered the same thing but just a cheeseburger this time. Everything was fine except my burger was COLD. Not even warm or luke warm. Like came from the fridge cold and the cheese wasn't melted or anything. Wtf? Gross. And the receipt never show ed what I was charged. Just said, "charged $19 plus sales tax". Somehow two burgers and gravy was $20 and theres no itemized bill. Yeah, ok. I'll drive the xtra hour to go somewhere else. read more

Handy convenient location friendly service. You could tell it was where the locals went that's always a good sign

Fantastic service tonight!! I had trouble with my mobile app food order and they immediately took care of it right at the counter. Food was fast and exactly what we wanted. Thanks for your extra kindness! read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. We went through the drive thru and I ordered a #13 which is the Chili Cheese Dog meal. chili. cheese. dog. When we had begun pulling out I checked and there was no cheese. I called the restaurant to let them know. The girl who answered the phone decided to argue with me and tell me that I had ordered wrong and that it was my mistake not theirs, because they don't have a Chili Cheese Dog, they have a Chili dog and you have to ask to add cheese to it. I told her no, if it was plain Chili I would have ordered it added Cheese, and that I would be on my way back. When I got to the restaurant there was a boy up front, I said they didn't give me Cheese and he cut me off mid-sentence, turned around and walked away from me. Horribly rude from the get go. A little angry man with black hair and glasses came up front and I told him the lady on the phone wanted to argue with me. That i wanted a new item, and that if she looked at the menu or knew the meals like she should, she would know it specifically came with cheese, its in the name of the meal. He immediately got confrontational and said "did you have an attitude with her too". up to this point I had been very calm, I took offense to this because instead of give an apology and give me the right item I paid for he started arguing with me too. He said to get the right item I have to be kind. I was not unkind to anyone there, and I said I should get what I paid for as a customer and I did not order wrong. It was not my mistake it was theirs. I asked don't they have training they have to do. Because i worked in food service before and we are supposed to know the entire menu correctly. And when I went in to give my correction and tell the manager he needs to make sure they know their menu, he decided to start yelling and get mad at me, the paying customer whose order they messed up. He falsely accused me of cursing and never once did I curse either. He told me to "give him" my bag, I said if you're taking my whole bag you touched I want new food. I had other items in that bag. He could have just got me a small container of cheese and said sorry, no? He got mad and told me "give me the Chili dog, that's all I'm going to give you" I am not the one who asked for the whole bag, he was. I didn't ask for anything I didn't PAY FOR. Then they doubled down on their mistake and acted like they needed to kick me out. Over THEIR mistake, your manager told me to GET OUT. I don't appreciate being treated that way when I'm asking for a correction to a mistake they made. I worked in food service before and our saying was "I'm sorry that was our mistake, how can we make it right?" Not "you're wrong, you ordered wrong" "you're not allowed to be disatisfied with your order" and "get out". I would like an apology. I may never come back to this particular establishment. I've been going there my whole life. I got treated like I did something wrong in front of a lobby full of people. I'd also like a refund. I was so disgusted with that kind of customer service I never even ate the food they sold me. It looks like your establishment is down in many opinions as a filthy place with horrendous customer service from all the reviews I read. I'm not the only customer who has been argued with when the staff is the one who made the mistake. I'm posting my review on every platform there is so other people know not to come there and be treated that way. Get rid of staff members who don't know their menu, don't know their jobs, and feel like it's okay to argue with customers. I'll be waiting for someone to reach out to me with an apology. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We waited at the order board for ten minutes while all four cars ahead of us paid and got their food. Once they took our order we had to wait at the payment window for another 15 minutes to get our food. The workers didn't seem to care either. They had no urgency in their service and were slightly rude. Worst fast-food experience ever! read more

My wife and I stayed at the AmericInn across the street for the night, after traveling for 8 hours we decided to get a carry out and eat in our room. we ordered 2 burgers, fries and 2 small shakes. my wife was up all nite throwing up and I had terrible pains in my stomach for the next 36 hours. The food was horrible and the service wasn't great either. Never again!!! read more

Absolutely atrocious. Waited 20 minutes with an empty lobby and 6 people working for an Oreo blizzard and chocolate shake. When we asked about our ice cream we were told that they were working on drive through orders. We had to ask about our order after 15 minutes, and none of the workers were apologetic. He sat our ice cream on the counter and then walked into the back of the store. Also did not get my blizzard flipped. read more

Filthy Floors and counter... photos are taken 15 minutes after I ordered treats suggested to them to wipe up and sweep the cookies and cups from the floor. This happened on a Thursday at 8:25pm a non-rush time. I watched the woman in the baggy shorts in the picture... slop someones blizzard on the counter and and then use the customers spoon to scoop it back in the cup and serve it to the drive through window. The milk shake my friend ordered was over-filled and runny and we had to be clean up before it was able to be eaten. The water dispenser sprays all over the machine. We could not get water. Talked to manager... they did nothing. I can't believe this franchise is doing this to the DQ brand and risking public health with milk products. The craziest thing... why did I eat my blizzard ? read more

I've gotten food poising twice from this place. Would not go back if it was the last place to eat in the world.

terrible service got a lot of our food Wrong. chicken was super dry. fries and cheese curds were pure grease. Lady got upset and threw the table sign almost right at my face. definitely was not wearing the right working uniform wearing pajama pants. if you go there, I'd recommend being prepared to have a stressful meal. read more

Took forever to take my order and did not care I was there. When we got to the window they took our ice cream out of the freezer and they gave me the wrong size ice cream and the ice cream was melted and was dripping everywhere. I asked for a napkin and when they handed it through the window they dropped it on the ground. They were vaping in the kitchen and were messing around. If you are driving and need a place to eat keep driving!!! Please!! read more

I went through drive thru at this location, didn't receive my extra gravy. I checked my receipt and was charged. Called the store and asked for a manager after being greeted by a very unfriendly employee. Spoke with the manager and he basically told me there was nothing he could do. My family and I travel through Chamberlain constantly with sports and majority of the nights we've stopped here it's been terrible service. Very disappointed. read more

If the goal of this establishment was piss off every single person in the building, they successfully did that with flying colors. Waited 10 minutes to get our order just to wait another 30 minutes to get our food. Unless they were butchering the cow in the back, it is unacceptable for customers to be waiting that long. Judging by the taste in our burgers, that was not the case... Our initial plan was to all get chicken strip baskets but once we asked for them, they said, "we have them but we won't make them." Like you can't physically or mentally make them?!? You served the previous 3 people chicken strip baskets but all of a sudden you just want to be done? Be better Dairy Queen... Today will start my 5 month ban on all Dairy Queen establishments. #burnchamberlaindqtotheground read more

i ordered a bottled water and they didn't give it to me with my meal and my dad asked for no tomato and he got a tomato and then they gave me a moldy hotdog bun and it didn't taste right at all and gave me a upset stomach read more

If I could give a negative 5 star review, I would. I ordered a chocolate shake for my daughter with no whip, it came out with whip. I ordered brownie blizzard for my husband, it came with a long black hair swirled around in it. I ordered a blizzard for myself and it came out melted and dripping all over the counter. We are beyond disgusted. I know people that own other DQ's in South Dakota (Pierre and Belle Fourche) and I know this is not the standard. This DQ clearly needs new owners/management. read more

Would not recommend. We came in with a group of 4 and 2 of us ordered while the other two were in the bathroom. Could only get burgers because they told us they "couldn't make any chicken". The other two came to order and were told that they didn't have any burgers and would have to wait 40 minutes?? So much for fast food. The group next to us got told they only had ice cream so they couldn't order any food. Overheard multiple people saying there food was cold. Overall I won't be stopping here ever again read more

Filthy. Counters, tables floor and restroom were dirty and gross. Also my husbands burger was raw and I bit into something unidentifiable in my chili cheese dog. Ewww. read more

Dirtiest Dairy Queen I've ever visited. Shake and Blizzard cups were coated with whipped cream and melted ice cream. I used several bunches of napkins to not only clean my cups, but the counter where they were dripping as well. The shake was thin and blizzard was the consistency of a regular shake. Not many options here, but you're better off buying supplies and making yourself dessert at home. read more

This place had the worst customer service that I have personally experienced. They forgot our order as we watched the manager goofing off in the back and then sarcastically tried to make it our fault. This place needs a check up by the owner! read more

Despite terrible reviews from only a month ago I was desperate and got food here. The cheeseburger and fries were warm and tasted great. The blizzard had the right toppings and tasted good also. Maybe just a fluke but the worker was nice and food was good! Give them a chance. read more

I would love to give zero stars. This facility is not well kept, extremely dirty. Extremely EXTREMELY unprofessional!! Teenagers yelling the whole time they are making our food, swearing with my children in the waiting area. Told them the floor was wet and slick from the ice machine, they did nothing about it. WOULD NOT recommend, even if starving. read more

I have never left a review before but I found it absolutely necessary to give people a heads up. Literally the worst establishment I've ever been to. It reeks when you walk in the door, you can see how dirty it is everywhere, not a single employee is wearing a mask OR GLOVES (and they are making food!!) The cashier didn't say a word to me, just stared at me waiting for me to tell him my order. There wasn't a single good thing about this place. I'd get an ice cream bar from the gas station instead! read more

If I could give it a zero I would, filthy, slow. Owner needs to revamp this place. We frequent DQ and this was the worst. Others who reviewed this establishment with negative comments were right on track. read more

I love Dairy Queen and was looking forward to a nice treat. This particular franchise is a disgrace to the brand! Absolutely filthy! Saw a server take someone's Blizzard that fell out onto the counter and put it back in the cup and serve to an unwitting customer. All the counters were filthy, sticky mess. Customer service appalling. The water dispenser didn't work at all and sprayed close by customers when I tried to use it. I told the cashier. She said "yeah". Outside the establishment was full of trash and the picnic tables filthy with melted ice cream. Tried to speak to the manager but he seemed overwhelmed and clueless on how to rectify the situation. The disrespectful staff were laughing at him when he had to listen to my feedback. Do yourself a favor and go to the next town. What a horrific experience! read more

I can not believe someone who works retail - would be so rude! We approached the counter a little undecided. We said said hello, sorry for being undecided. She said nothing. My youngest son 10 years ordered but asked for a clarification on sizes of blizzards. She said nothing. My next son ordered the same and so did my husband. I ordered last and also asked for 3 small ice water cups. She said nothing. She seemed to complete the order and stood waiting. I looked at my husband like this is weird. He handed her $20. She handed him his change. I looked at her and said, excuse me, do you speak? She said nothing. My husband looked at another employee and said, does she speak? She said yes. This is the third complaint in the last 5 minutes. The girl finally said, I get tired of talking to people. I told her that this may not be the job for her! Oh my word!! read more
