Alayna, the owner, is friendly and accommodating, and she makes the best pastries and coffee in this little hamlet of South Dakota, hands down. I stopped in during a recent Christmas vacation sojourn, and her kindness, delectable desserts, and swift service were honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Chamberlain. Keep up the great work, Alayna, and thank you for providing such wonderful baked goodness to the community!

You never know if a place like this will be gone next year or if it will still be going strong for the next 50+ years! I got a cherry Frosty Whip, which is kind of an ice cream slush. It was good. We pulled into a tiny town, with no clue of what we might find there (we didn't find any thing about it on the internet), and drove up the main street and found Little Brick Ice Cream. We saw a sign out front that said, "Homemade Rhubarb Pie" and we screeched to a stop. Inside, an elderly gentleman served us up homemade icecream, made by his wife. They had about 15-20 delicious flavors. And I got the rhubarb pie. When I complimented his wife on the pie, he pointed out that he had made it himself, and that his wife only makes the ice cream. Duly noted. This place is exactly what you hope you are going to find when you go driving down state and country highways instead of taking the freeway.
