So, we were about to start a longer drive and stopped at this Shell to get gas and prep. Usually gas station stops like that are ones you want to make quick and not mess around. However, the trip to this Shell is one I still remember, because of how awesome the attendant Sharyl was! With a huge smile on her face and all the friendliness in the world, she started our drive off the best it could have with how awesome she was. She even offered us paper towels to take with for our snacks. I specifically remember her saying how, "your mom isn't around right now so I'll take care of you like a mom would". She was unbelievably sweet and unforgettable- this will be the gas station I come back to in the area just because of her!

It was super sweet and maybe I didn't fall in love with it, but since that seems to be the place's signature item I am glad I got it, for sure. Just off the highway facing a gorgeous lake we were both pleasantly surprised at the care its given in comparison to others we've stopped at. We even took note of the clean gas pumps as well. The employee greeted us kindly and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The small store even smelled nice! I wasn't sure what scent it was but it was pleasant and calming. We didn't need to purchase anything at the time but I certainly wanted to because I appreciated it so much. Being on a long drive you get used to expecting less than stellar accommodations so stumbling upon this gas station was one of the highlights!
