Austin, the Asst. Manager is a star! He is polite, friendly, fast, efficient, thorough, and knows his products. I don't think food when thinking of Dairy Queen but my cheeseburger was better than most and the fries were screaming hot, crispy and yummy. There cannot be many tougher jobs than managing a Dairy Queen off a major interstate but Austin makes many things look easy. Thank you, Austin! You made our day! read more

We stopped by on our way to AZ from Maine at around 10:00 AM and it seemed like lunch time for us. They were happy to make two orders of chicken tenders with Buffalo sauce for us even though it wasn't really lunchtime. The tenders were cooked to perfection and so were the fries. We have had these in many different states across the US and honestly these were the best ever! Friendly service too. We will probably see you on our way back to Maine in the Spring. read more

Food was about what I expected (being fast food)... not great. My big issue with this was that my family and I waited 30 minutes to get our food. I asked about the status of my order after waiting the 30 minutes and watching other people get their food who ordered after we ordered. They really weren't that busy and most people were ordering soft serve items. The response that I got was "I called out your number". And pulls a bag out of the back. I'm not sure how long ago she called out our number, but we certainly didn't hear her call out the number,but my burger was pretty cold. I don't know why they had our bag of food in the back and not on the front counter.... We were sitting right next to the counter and we watched many others go up, order, get their food... By far the worst experience at any restaurant stop ever. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. Took literally 45 min for a bacon and egg sandwich. The person working the grill was doing one order at a time!!! First of all, this is in the middle of nowhere- so regardless of this rating you should stop to take a break. This DQ is in a gas station, and the gas station is very nice. The bathrooms were clean and even smelled good! There was tons of goodies to purchase and look at, I could have spent a long time shopping, but we had to get back on the road. The DQ . . . The ice cream was good and the gentleman that made it was an older, very hard working guy. He seemed to be doing every task up front all by himself (at least in the 20ish minutes I waited for my ice cream). It was 6 PM and we had been traveling for six hours. Needed the restroom and little food. This was fantastic. The cleanest restrooms along interstate 40, some of the most amazing Indian jewelry and gifts, and a fantastic Dairy Queen with nice people and good food. This was like a mirage in the night for us as there was nothing else around, and I looked it up and was amazed that it was actually there in the middle of nowhere. read more

The food and Blizzards taste just like any other DQ. This is more about an employee. We were just there, 7/18/2022 @ 2:00, and there was an employee named Mark that was busting his butt. Not only was he taking orders, but he had to stop and fill up the ice machine because people were waiting for drinks. Once he finished taking orders and filling the ice machine, he went on to emptying the trash cans. I swear there was at least 5 other employees in the back and only 3, Mark, Austin, and one other guy that had a black bandana on his head that was handing out orders, of them looked like they were doing anything. Now with that being said, I went to wash my windshield and the water for the squeegy was rank. It smelled like something was dead in there and flies were coming out of it. DO NOT EXIT HERE! You will have to backtrack many miles to get back on the highway!!! ALL ON-RAMPS ARE CLOSED!!! Food is ok but not worth an hour of backtracking to get back to where you were! Awesome service by Jonalia Gonzales!!! I am a truck driver just stopped by for some food early in the morning. Jonalia greeted me with professional manner, introduced the menu and prepared the food really fresh and crispy. BTW, i ordered the Wild fish sandwich combo. Really great dairy queen!!!! Very clean. Very friendly service and my hot fudge sundae with pecans, bananas, marshmellow cream and whipped cream is just exactly like I like it.... I stopped for the night at this flying C plaza, I was excited there was a DQ,, Thought i will get an large cone. Then went inside and seen a new type of blizzard, looked at the menu, while seeing the fiitball game on tv.. I thought..just get a dinner and blizzard watch the game awhile. I ordered a chicken tender basket, upgraded to onion rings. Ask about upgrading drink for blizzard, was shown cups for sizes. Told them i wanted biggest one. As i pointed at the cups she had shown me.. Wow..it was almost $14.. Then i was given a blizzatd the was a medium.. Went to sit down.. Another man told me no.. Cant sit down..at tables.. This was 45 minutes before closing,,,,,,, So I asked for refund if i cant sit down to eat.. Told..no.... I had to go next door get the manager..to get refunded.. Sad...very sad,, I am a otr driver, I eat at DQ at least once a week And never been treated like this.. I will never stop here again!!! read more

We were traveling from Amarillo to Albuquerque and had been seeing signs for Cline's Corners for miles. So, when we saw this gas station/Dairy Queen combo, we convinced ourselves that Cline's Corners would probably be too expensive and crowded. That was our first mistake! I am still not sure this was an authentic Dairy Queen. If the HQ knew about it, they would probably go and remove the signs. We ordered hamburgers and waited over 12 minutes to get them. The first clue that something was wrong was that the menu did not use the DQ names for their meals. Then, when my food arrived, the bun was cold. Secondly, the fries were missing. I had to go back to the counter to ask. The two men were standing around chatting, and the younger one looked startled that he had forgotten the fries, so he ran off to get them. There I was with a cold bun, cold meat, and cold, stale fries. To make matters worse, I got sick later on that afternoon. read more

The gentleman behind the counter wore a tag that said manager, looked like someone who possible sufferers from a lowered expectation in life, or at least that is what I attribute his lack of service. If you're driving along the I-40 W you'll see many signs leading you to a nice pitstop complete with gas station, gift shop and Dairy Queen. Upon entering you will be greeted with a welcome and directions to the restroom. But if you are indeed hangry as the billboards suggests, this Dairy Queen is NOT the place for you. I waited at least 8 minutes until a cashier showed up to take the peoples order in front of me. By the time I put my order in, order 416 was barely being called. I was order #420. Got my food to go, and the fries were cold and rubbery like they were from the day before. Very slow service and old food. Not satisfying for the amount they charged. read more

Dairy Queen, Hot Eats and Cool Treats on the side of the road with clean restrooms and a gloriously tacky and enormous souvenir shop. I really only went in to go to the bathroom but left with a milkshake and some fries. If you're looking for a good spot to stop on I-40 this is the place to do it. It's nice to get a shake, meander through the store (which has a freaking enormous selection of fireworks all year round) stretch your legs and make a pit stop. As a woman traveling alone I'm always on the lookout for safe places to stop and this fits the bill for me. I'll make it my regular spot! read more

We waited 20 minutes for two blizzards and an ice cream cone while the young woman who was supposed to be making the ice cream orders chatted with customers at the counter. (The customers were already being assisted by another employee.) When she finally had our blizzards made, she left them next to the blender and struck up a casual conversation with the cook who had emerged from the kitchen. I had to interrupt their chat to ask her to please hand us our order and get the cone. She looked surprised and apologized for the wait. (She apologized for the wait to the group ahead of us as well, as if our waits were inevitable and had nothing to do with her inability to stay on task.) The area for ice cream prep was messy and pretty gross looking. My daughter and I thought about throwing away our blizzards after noticing how gross the blender looked. Suffice it to say that we will never be stopping at this DQ again. read more

Visited at 1:00 on a Wednesday. Paid $2.69 a piece for two flame thrower wraps that were smaller than the snack wraps McDonald's sells for a dollar. Then we waited 15 minutes for our order, as the cook did not have any chicken prepared, regardless of the fact that this was lunch hour.
