I've totally given up on this place. The last few times we tried to have lunch here the food wasn't edible, fries were soaked in grease as if they had been refried in cold oil. Nasty. Facilities are nasty. Employees are nasty. Food is nasty. This franchise needs to be bulldozed and start over. The building, decor, and equipment are 50+ years old. The floors are oily and slippery. The employees clothing is filthy. Drive through can easily throw you into the highway. Parking lot is in poor condition. Dairy Queen is a freaking Berkshire Hathaway company. Corporate should put a stop to this nonsense. Invest in a new facility or call it quits. There is no excuse for this. read more

i waited for 39 minutes before i got my food first in the drive through and they gave people their food before i got my own food.

Dayton, Texas location does not follow COVID-19 safety protocols. Window employee had her nose out of her mask, and the runner wore no mask at all! Only the cook properly wore her face covering, and no one was wearing gloves. The food was overly greasy and the fries were undercooked and no salt. read more

My son and I recently dined here and while it was not the best experience that I have ever had at a Dairy Queen, it certainly was not the worst and I did not run into some of the issues that others have pointed out in past reviews. Maybe they took the reviews to heart and shaped up? Anyway, we did not have to wait very long to order. The person working the counter was very friendly. My order was prepared accurately and in a timely manner. The food tasted good to both of us. We also ordered Blizzards and those were tasty as well. However, they did not turn them upside down when they were delivered to us. I suppose I should have said something. I believe you get a coupon good for a free Blizzard on your next visit. But I digress. The restaurant wasn't exactly the cleanest in the world but we survived. All in all, we enjoyed our dining experience and would be back. read more

Filthy, filthy, filthy! From the bathrooms to the outdoors. Ordered inside for two adults and a child, no unsweet tea, cashier came around corner to ask if I'd ordered a Triple-Buster Cheeseburger, I said no, a Number 1 drufus-head, the girls went to the restroom and came out wretching, ceiling panels falling down, manager began mopping around our table with an extraordinarily high stench of chlorox leaving pools of water on the floor, brought out our order, we asked for salt, drufus said they were out of it (like that was a normal occurrence), I pointed to Brookshire Brothers grocery store just across the highway - got a blank stare - wife looked at invoice and noticed we'd been charged for said Triple Buster - showed it to manager who then refunded the difference without saying a word - WARNING stay away. read more

I am an ice cream lover and in fact, absolutely LOVE several of DQ's blizzard flavors but why bother stopping in for something you love when you can't get it anyway. It's not because they do not have them, it's because the service is atrocious. I've stopped in at the Dayton, TX facility 3 times and the results seem to be getting worse. #1: After sitting at the drive thru forever waiting, the server seemed totally oblivious to my order when I finally got to the window, at which time I was informed that they were out of a particular flavor for a blizzard I ordered. No problem, there are others like I said above. But the manager had to come over and tell me about it because the server just had a blank stare like he was stoned. #2: After talking to some friends and finding out that I actually got lucky, I figured I would try stopping again. Once again, the wait was crazy for bad service. Even the local church group was complaining. #3: Third strike - I am out of here. I actually left before even getting to the window. Ironically, I went up to the local Jack in the Box, got my order and drove by only to see the same vehicle in line waiting. Not a drive through - more like a "Crawl Through". In talking about my experiences with others about the local DQ, I have found out that I am certainly not alone. The consensus is to go in on certain evenings when a particular manager is there. Went there last night 20 minutes before closing time and the lady already had the kitchen completely shut down. Asked if she could make me a blizzard, she made it and when she turned it upside down most of it spilt out.. she just wiped the side of the cup and handed me a melted blizzard. Was NOT wearing any gloves or a mask, and has a bad attitude the whole time she talked to us. I do not recommend this place at all! read more

Horrible. Just recently went to this location and ordered just a chicken strip basket and steak finger basket. Literally watched the employees stand around and chit chat for about 10 minutes and looked like nobody was even cooking the food. Where is the district manager at to resolve these issues at this location? Can i give less than 1 star.. Worst service!! Not busy when ordered 20+ minutes for tacos which where covered in grease. Only got after going back to counter to ask for them. Then I had to yell and wave to get attention of employees who walked off while I was waiting at the counter to ask for a fork... Staff apparently does not know there job requirements or how to to preform them. And lacks any customer service skills. One employee talking bad about its own establishment in front of customers. Overhead telling another customer could not refund money do to system being down yet watched her refund money to the next customer. Employee searching parking lot with bags of food looking for people who ordered. had what was supposed to be taco salad yesterday. I have had theses from the same store many times and they have been great but yesterday what I got was a half fried shell that was terrible , a little bit of lettuce on bottom, and ground beef. there was no refried beans, tomatoes, cheese, or sour cream. it was very disappointing. read more

Incompetent employees!!! Very slow! Went at lunch time and there is only 3 people working (one at drive thru, one at counter and a cook). If you go to the drive thru they can't hear you and you can't hear them. You have to pull up to the window to order. However, they won't have the person in front of you at the window who has already placed their order pull forward so they can take your order, they make you wait till that persons order is ready. If you go inside, food will pile up at the window until the cashier is done taking all the orders at the counter. One time we went in there and ordered a chocolate chip blizzard. I realize that chocolate chip blizzards are no longer on the menu, but how hard is it to put ice cream in a cup, add a scope of cone dip and mix it up? It's not! But the young boy who took our order could not comprehend that (I worked at DQ 20 some odd years ago, it's not hard). What we got was ice cream with chocolate syrup in it. But apparently since it's not in the POS system, he doesn't have enough common sense to just charge for another type of small blizzard, much less just listen to what the customer said. Kid couldn't even make a malt! OH and the tacos are wonderful, but $6.79 for an order of 3 tacos with a medium drink is ridiculous. Way over priced! read more
