This feels petty to leave a review of a Dairy Queen, but having been to likely one hundred across Texas, I have to say we have found the worst. We stood in line with a handful of other people for 25 minutes. Staff would not take orders because kitchen needed to "catch up". Yes, we should have left. Finally, a few more orders were taken, including the locals in line behind us. Their food was brought out within five minutes. Our food took typical slow DQ prep time of 15-20. So all in, if you have 45 minutes to wait, come in for the traffic jam at this Texas stop sign. If you must, use the drive thru. read more

The woman employee (I did not see her name) at the drive thru window was very friendly and polite! Got us our steak finger basket and snickers blizzard super quick. It's perfect, glad we stopped! (It's hit or miss with DQ's these days.) And this part is exciting for me being that I worked at Dairy Queen when I was about 16 yo.......she flipped my Blizzard upside down!!!!! This Dairy Queen is clean and the food was good. Customer service was top notch!! We had tacos and steak fingers. Both were delicious

We've eaten at this location before and were satisfied but not today. The chicken basket would have been preferable to the chicken itself. No sooner had we sat down than the meal was ready ~ which raised suspicions and the chicken was soggy with a strange dark color and barely warm. Very disappointed. read more

The service at this location has continually gone down. My recent visit will be my last. The employees told me twice that they would "be right with me" but after at least 7 minutes, they never did take my order. There were no other customers in the restaurant at the time. After complaining to the General Manager, she offered to take my order but offered no apology for her employees behavior. I have asked twice for the franchise owner to contact me but I don't think he/she cares about customers either. Sonic and Whataburger offer similar food and great service. Will go there instead in the future. read more

Adder clear of this place. Tacos tasted like cardboard filled with rabbit food. The chicken, which was grilled chicken, tasted like the worst chicken I've ever had. And I've been around a while. However Texas toast was great and their gravy was hot. That's why they at least get one star. read more

Well I got my blizzard and the price was normal but I ordered double he said it and it definitely doesn't look like the "double Heath"that I've gotten that any other Dairy Queen. We have always enjoyed stopping at DQs but this place in Caldwell is enough to make us reconsider. We stopped in on 2/10/18 just to get a couple of burgers. No fries, no drinks. Just two ordinary burgers with mustard, mayo, no onions. The girl had to take our order THREE times before she could read it back correctly. When we were served, one burger had onions, neither had mayo. The real gem in this story is the manager, "Jason". He was rude & not the least bit interested in hearing what went wrong or what he could do to try to satisfy us. Nor would he give me his last name .. said I didn't need it. Based on our experience & others I've read here, I can't understand how this place stays in business. DQ ought to pull their flag. read more

Went it with the hopes of getting food after a long drive from Louisiana the cashier greets me with saying the wait for food is 15 min so I tell her okay I'll just order ice cream. I keep telling her my order and repeating myself because she can't find it in her cash register we finally finish ordering the party after us orders and gets there food immediately. I am not a frequent visitor of DQ but I gotta be honest it was a treat going here as a child after church events for a cold treat. The food here is definitely decent. The facility is clean. And the staff are vet friendly. I had a salad bowl and added chicken to it for more protein. It was decently healthy. Also had a mini blizzard for old time sake. I call it a win. And yea it's a Dairy Queen. It's not a fancy steak house. But the friendly Texas people make it a good stop. read more

Horrid DQ. Can't get orders right. Doesn't take call ins. Customer service is completely absent. Fries are few and old.

Oh man where to I start. Cashier was great very quick and nice. Then went down bill from there. Our friends ordered 1st. One of the burgers was missing cheese. He went up there and asked them to add the cheese. They just handed him a slice of cheese . They served our order to the table behind us. The customers that received our order open and touch the food. When they figured out it's wasn't there's they returned the food. The server went to the back told the manger it was the wrong food. (We could hear there whole conversation. It's not that big and the kitchen is open for u to see well) The manger told the server to give the food to the right table!! The server tried to drop off the food to us. I told him to give me a refund.! I could not believe the manger would allow and do that! Just nasty!!!!!!! The manger got mad that I asked for a refund. Like I was being a pain. I will not be going back. That's just crazy. We are human we make mistakes but don't allow already touched food go to another table. read more

I've been to a lot of dairy queens in small towns all across this great state but this Dairy Queen alone is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. This is my first review and I'm only doing this to warn people to steer clear. I pulled up to the drive thru last Tuesday and ordered a single meat cheeseburger and a drink. The burger had all the wrong veggies and condiments, the burger patty itself was burnt to a crisp. Do yourself a favor and just go to sonic at least it's edible. read more

I will never be back! My husband and I went to purchase an Ice Cream Cake for my grandmother's birthday. We chose one and went to purchase it. The cake said "SPECIAL $19.99" ....without saying anything a male employee grabbed the cake from the register and disappeared! I asked the woman what he was doing. She stated "OH, I'm sure he is writing on it for you!" The problem is, I never told him, or her, what the occasion was. He finally came back and I was completely FLABBERGASTED! He changed the price from $19.99 to $24.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so pissed! I asked for the manager and she wouldn't cone out. I explained to the woman that, by law, they cannot do that , and that they had to honor the price it (and several others were marked). They refused and I was told quote "we cannot sell it for $19.99"... seriously? I went outside and called the restaurant, I asked for the manager. Linda was her name....she told me that an employee from the Bryan store had made the cakes and priced them incorrectly. I told her that was her problem, not mine, and that it was in her bedt interest to honor the marked price or my next call would be her District Manager and then weights and measures! She said to come back and get the cake. When we got back the employees were obviously snickering about us. To the back was the male employee changing all the prices on the other "incorrectly" marked cakes. I have to tell you, I have not been MORE SHOCKED by the unprofessional, rude, arrogant and deceitful sales practice by these employees and management in MY LIFE! The first time I went to this dairy queen in Caldwell I ordered the chicken strip basket when I took one bite it was so hard I couldn't eat it. I talked to the young man and told him the situation and he told his manager and they took care of it. Then the next time I went there was this past Saturday it was very slow when I stopped there and got me a peanut butter brownie blizzard, the crew were playing around and texting, the gal who took my order was very rude!!!! Terrible experience. No one greeted us. Stood at the counter to order several minutes. Two employees came to the cash register but neither one said anything to us. Our order was correct but we witnessed two others that weren't. Both tea dispensers were empty. Of course there was always a line to order.
