After ordering coffee, I inquired as to where the best breakfast in town is, and she sarcastically replied, "what, don't you think we serve good breakfast here?" Haha!! At that point, I knew where we'd be eating breakfast! I ordered the basic eggs, sausage, and toast, my brother got the same with bacon, and the older brother got the breakfast burrito. (She recommended the locally made sausage, which was excellent). While she was cooking in the back, we enjoyed much coffee on the porch, while enjoying the perfect day on the patio. A few minutes three plates arrived that were loaded with food, which was all cooked perfectly! We were all super impressed with the quality (and fueled up for a day of exploring). I've had coffee from here a few times before and have always loved my drink - their seasonal items are Always fun. It was pretty full on a Friday morning but the line was short and moved quickly. I ended up mixing it up and getting a matcha latte which was flavored perfectly and not overly sweet. The space itself is so bright and open and in the coolest building with multiple other shops. You can enjoy your order at a table inside, walk around the various stores, or take it to go and hop around the area as so many new spots have opened up.

My only complaint is in the back where the kid area is there are some steps leading down and no way to block it off so a toddler may well tumble down and that would be bad. And for me, part of the experience is slowing down to enjoy the moment. No small part of that enjoyment comes from drinking my coffee in a proper vessel. It could be a ceramic coffee cup, or a bowl, or a heavy glass, or a demitasse cup on a saucer. Different shops can have their own style, but if you refuse to serve a well crafted drink in something other than paper, that's an issue for me. Especially when the proper cups are right there! I see them. And I get that washing dishes can be a pain in the neck, but coffee shops can charge what they charge for beans and water because they are providing an experience. Sorry. Thanks for hearing me out. Beyond that, this place is lovely. The people are friendly, which should not be a surprise in Minnesota.
